If you were writing to me, it is not on the walks but when we leave him home alone where Mickey goes wild.

Yes, it gets hard to handle 50 lbs. of tantrum. Gently let him know what you expect of him and he should come around. Is anybody else with you on your walks? If so, some one-on-one time may work better until he understands the expectations on a walk.

Up until now he was fine. Now, when we leave he drags his beds of out the double crates, connected to his dog door. The bottom pieces have been on their sides and cracked up. I pretended to go out the other night and he was crying. I tried waiting a bit and extending the time that I was "gone". It felt so awful hearing him cry on the other side of the wall! We're home all day because we both work out of the house. The tearing around in his crate and dragging beds out just started. I really am not sure what I should do. I don't want him anxious, but we need to get out every once in awhile. Any hints?

We got Harley 2 weeks ago. He was also going thru some seperation anxiety...but he is doing well now...EXCEPT sometimes he has tantrums on our walks...

Thanks! Your boys are adorable as well! Yes, doodles are fabulous dogs! We're going through a stage of separation anxiety but otherwise he's fabulous!

Mickey is a great looking dood. Looks like he is pretty slim, so he may gain a little more when he fills out. Aren't doodles the greatest dogs?

Mickey is about 68 pounds at 15 months. He seems small next to so many of you! We got about 20 more pounds of love than we thought as it was. He's fabulous though!

My puppy is 6.5 months old and he is already 50lbs. Last week he gained 3 lbs. Is that a lot?

Gus is a beautiful guy. The picture of you with your two guys is great. What a difference between the two.
