I don't fit through the little holes--must have ball!
A different perspective...must have ball!
When in doubt, dig!…

I should have known better by the looks Fudge gave me all last week that she knew something that I didn’t. My dogs were out of sorts all week because our luggage made an appearance and nothing ever good happens for them when that happens. Fudge stayed close to me all week and slept with us every night snuggled up to me. At times, I would…

Holly at five and a half years old has just started counter surfing... We have been quite lax in leaving goodies unattended on our kitchen counter because Holly has been so reliable in not grabbing anything off the counter.
Well, those days are gone. Holly has found how good the counter items might taste and we now have to be careful about what we leave out!

Our six week Agility Class (which turned into nine weeks), came to an end this past Saturday. Between the rain, and Leo’s mystery illness, we were unable to continue our remedial practices during the week, and boy did it show.
After our final session ended, pet parents interested in signing up for the upcoming class gathered to watch an “Agility Demo” and yours truly was asked to perform……

Our Dolly had puppies this past February so the pups are now 6 months old. I will put a picture of Dolly at 6 months and one of her puppies now. They look so much alike. First Dolly: This is her puppy with her new…

On Milton's frequent jaunts to the local park, with Jeff in tow, he likes to play ball -- lots and lots of ball! That's his passion. I think Jeff's enthusiasm got our goldendoodle hooked on retrieving, but he swears it was me in Milt's early training days when I used to roll a ball back and forth countless times in our apartment. Regardless, Milt is one happy, happy boy when his mouth is stuffed full of a bright yellow tennis ball. Now, here's the kicker. At…

Perhaps when you read this title you were thinking Leo has successfully completed Agility Training. Not yet. Barring clear skies and dry ground we should have our last and final class this Saturday.
When I titled this post: “I’m Certified” I am referring to ones sanity when it comes to her doodles!
The rational part of me questions my deductive reasoning when I think about the things I do with/for them.
I mean really – did I ever envision myself:
Packing…

Hard to believe it's been 8 years since this big bundle of energy flew into our lives.... At 8 weeks I picked this little monster up at the airport, and in the blink of an eye, he is turning 8 years old!
He is the love of my life :) I thought when we were…

This time last year we were about 4 weeks into the 7 weeks of crate confinement for Lucy after her CCL surgery. Sophie was a wonderful Sister and stayed by Lucy's side and tried to be understanding of why she couldn't play. We were all anxiously awaiting January when we would be spending the month at the beach in Florida watching the girls play in the surf and enjoy playing on the beach. At times it seems like only yesterday and at times it seems like a long year. It was the same day…

I am not terribly cultured when it comes to cinema, but one of my favorite movie lines is, "Fat guy in a little coat." Where's that from? You probably know it too if you grew up in the 90s. That's right -- Tommy Boy -- with the talented, sadly deceased, Chris Farley, and the still vibrant, David Spade. The background around that line is the hefty Farley squeezes into the petite Spade's suit jacket in order to annoy him, which it ultimately does. Well,…

I finally figured it out the other day. I need an attitude adjustment when it comes to groundhogs. Normally, I curse the day they were ever born and dream of bringing a rubber mallet along with me to the park to play “Whack-a-Mole,” whenever I see one of them pop their little heads out of their hole, but today I realized I think they are trying to help me with my dog training.…

I visited my friend for few days, and I had such great time with her pitbull, Shintaro.
While I mised my dogs, time with Shintaro was priceless!! I had captured some of his wonderful expressions of our affair..... He was sooo happy at East River Park....…

Portland, Oregon!!! Yipeeeee!!
The beloved, battered and once again repaired traveling trophy was life-flighted from Texas to a top-notch repair facility in Pennsylvania before winging its way back across the country to Oregon. The reason for this detour has to do with the trophy falling apart from all the doodle lovin' it has received.
For those who might not know, the Hopeless Doodle Addict trophy and a selection of goodies from the most recent addict's…

Nope! Not me – I’m sleeping just fine, thank you very much…
Well as best I can under the circumstances. Doodle #2 Mr. Leo has been struggling with his new bed.
In Harley’s 4th of July Highlights blog post, I shared excerpts from our shopping experience at the Orvis store in search of new pet beds. We decided to return ours because the subtle fabric I selected just couldn’t hold up to…

Luna and I enjoy our morning strolls. The temperature is lovely, not too much sun and it's nice and quiet. It's even better on weekends when daddy can join us! We stop to enjoy the countryside, smell some flowers... it's generally a relaxing start to our day.
Today we were out for a stroll... and bonus, Luna found one of her friends at the park at the start of her walk! There was much joyful greeting and some rough housing.
All of a sudden Luna…

We are getting a doodle to foster from Doodle Rescue Collective, Inc. She is a year older than Holly and has come from a home with smaller dogs and a larger dog. Although Holly adores the Maltese, I am sure that Holly will be happy to have a girl her own size to play with.
Here is the picture we were sent of this poor girl. She looks like she needs some TLC!…

A few weeks ago, Jeff's Aunt Carol (I actually have an Aunt Carol too!) invited me to a Thirty-One party at her house. I was completely unaware of this particular home consulting business, but I had been to other parties, such as Longaberger, baskets, and Lia Sophia, jewelry, when I was younger. Thirty-One sells all different sorts of bags, in countless patterns, for everyday use at the pool, in the grocery store, or while at work. The company is actually…
