So excited....Bailey and I start formal obedience training this evening.  I have been working with her a little here at home but tonights the night that both our worlds change...for the better.

I found a trainer that does small group classes.  He has 35 years of K9 training.  He has trained police, search and rescue to the good ol' everyday mutt.  On paper he has a lot of experience. He also is a certified AKC tester for all the different tests.

We do have real moose here in NH - more often spotted north of us, but there is a neighborhood moose that has caught Banjo's attention  since he was just a puppy.  It used to be whenever we passed this guy Banjo would politely sniff his hind quarters and then play bow around him for several minutes.  Now that he's older and wiser (?) he'll just stop to say hello.  I have always wished I'd gotten pics of him sniffing the moose's butt....it was just too funny!…

We had our backyard prepped for winter seed yesterday and it is full of dirt, seed and haylike grass. Bella thought it was great fun rolling in it this morning and my white dog was black and white, an hour before our vet appointment so she got bath number 2 since sunday.

Sitting here envying my doods and wishing I could be them for awhile...true, relieving myself outisde for everyone to see or greeting others with a smell of the behind would not be much fun...but as they frolic, play, and laze the day away I envy their carefree demeanors. They have complete faith in me as their caretaker and they don't seem to have a care in the world...how much better my days would be if I would stop worrying about all the little things and just enjoy my time like my doods…

So she threw up a tiny bit on Saturday and a bit on Sunday morning. No sign of the rope.

I said to DH that it's still in there and we need to go to the vet. He said we'll see how she is Monday.

Well thank goodness...at 2:45am this morning she finally threw the whole thing up! It WAS as big as I thought! It was part of the rope and about 2 inches of the frayed part. Hard to see completely at that time of the morning and it was a different color now if you know what I mean! He…

My DH's beloved grandpa died this morning.  He was the greatest man I have ever known and has touched so many people.  He lived a wonderful and full 96 years and is now at home with the Lord and is walking in Heaven with his wife Mitzi and his son Bill (DH's dad).

The funeral hasn't been arranged yet, but I just know we will have such a special time together paying tribute to Elmer Bergman!  He will be missed by so many.

As I am getting ready to head off to my family Thanks-Giving dinner at my cousins place, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the things that make me most grateful in life. Of course there are the usual things like my health, my family and friends, my job and all the nice things it affords me, and most definitely the love and joy that has come to me over this past year as I embarked into the world of doodledom. However, I have to say that true happiness for me is found in little things…

Whew doggie, that wasn't quite the weekend any of us had in mind! Just sitting here winding down a bit, reflecting and smiling while Pixel The Cat suns himself on the window-shelf beside me and Lachlan naps on the carpet behind me. I think they're both worn out and ready for dear old mum to go back to work!
