Do you ever stop and look at how many pictures you take to end up with that one pose you were trying to get? If you are taking a picture of more than one dog.....one of them is always getting distracted while the other one is standing there giving you the perfect shot.
Doodad finally got my new sign planted in my flower bed........it makes me smile…

Well we had the pleasure of having Bella, Daisy's real live sister, for the weekend again. It is amazing to me how quickly these puppies grow.
We had so much fun every day....from Thursday nite to Monday morning the two girls played chuck-it, wrestled, ran in the back yard, went for walks at Sunny Lake. On Sunday we visited my DD and her boxer Lily. While Daisy played with…

Zoey will be 16 weeks old tomorrow. I can't believe how time has flown. She had a visit to the vet yesterday and weighed in at a whopping 12 lbs (still scratching my head at how big I think she's gonna get...it may only be 12 lbs, but it's a solid 12 lbs when she likes to climb up you like a mountain goat). Overall the vet visit went great...at least in my mind...I'm sure having her AG's expressed was a less than pleasant for her LOL...but she has been licking and chewing like crazy at…

Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to a special competition of the DWF (Doodle Wrestling Federation).
In one corner weighing in at 22lbs is Cubbie “The Peanut” doodle. He might be the smaller competitor but he light on his feet and uses his speed to his advantage.
In the other corner we have Ollie “Big Head”…

We are new breeders and today we shipped two puppies to new homes for the first time. I had no idea how attached I had become to these two beauties. My husband Mike and I had an emotional time saying goodbye to Aspen and Vincent Van Gogh. Mike wished them both a long and happy life in their new homes. WOW, this is the tough part. Camus turned out to be very generous, he is able to share even the most valuable of his belongings: a big beef bone.
When my husband was standing in "downward dog", Camus brought and placed his bone right under my husband's face, then stepped away as if saying: "Here, buddy, I let you gnaw it for a while". :)

This is my first post. Even though I have been on DK for 3 months already. Dear DK friends, if someone sees this post, please forgive me. I follow you and follow others' posts on the forum. I usually don't answer b/c feel ashamed of my English and don't have very much time (what is not dedicated to Camus is just for working, sleeping and cleaning the house).
Ok. I am starting to write some things about my doodle, because I…

First, I promise to post pictures as soon as I get home to my computer. But for now, I am sitting outside a campground lodge, to pick up the wifi during a weekend of camping out in a National Forest in Az. Murphy has traveled the country with us, in our RV since he was a pup, so camping to him is a way of life.
Bella on the other hand is a city girl and with the exception of car trips around the city, she doesn't get out much and hasn't traveled at all with us.
We decided it…

Should have listened to the Trainer!!
Last week we had a little Escape 'incident'.... our trainer told us that this would happen one day... and I must admit I didnt believe her.... because "he's been so good"! We have been able to play football and chase the tennis ball and sticks in our yard since he was a pup. Last week Wookie decided that he was a big boy (9 months) and took off into the woods for about 30 minutes... deep into the forest, where I could not see or hear him. …

Years ago, when we bought our current home, we moved from the suburbs into the country. I had spent my whole life living in the city and was unprepared for the darkness that falls at night when you are used to streetlights. The first night I stayed alone at our new house I was on high alert imaging all kinds of thing moving about in the nearby cornfields and it did not help that my husband kept referencing the old movie Children of the Corn. Sure enough, I started…

Warning: Some viewers may find the contents of this blog uncomfortable.
Over the last few months, heavy rains have caused many provinces in Thailand to flood.
It's one of the worst floods we've seen in years...so far 140 people have lost their lives and over 2 million homes have been affected.
Not only humans are affected by this flood, but dogs too. Here's a heart-breaking picture of a family of…

This week has been incredible. I am so in love with both my doodles. They make me so incredible happy and taking care of them brings me such a sense of fulfillment. I love going to the park with them and playing with the other dogs. Being around animals seems to fill me with joy. My eyes light up when I talk about it.
All week at work I thought about my furbabies all the time and couldn't wait to get home to play with them. Work itself is blah. My job is ok in theory, but…

Okay, so most of you know my feelings about dog parks in general although I admit there are some out there that are good. Today DH, Tara and I ended up stopping by our local dog park just mostly out of curiosity. It has been some time since we were last there and have actually never gone inside. We didn't go inside today either but stayed outside and observed. When we arrived the park was empty but soon they started showing up!!
Here is how things went:
1. Airedale.arrives with…

I think that everyone knows that we've never considered Murphy to be the sharpest knife in the drawer. He's always been a "slow learner". That's okay, because he's a goofy, affectionate, and very sweet boy who loves his Mama like crazy. At least 10 times a day I just shake my head and say "Murph, Murph, Murph, why did you do that?". He just gives me his "naughty boy" look and I end up laughing. Well over the past couple of days we've started to think that our Murphy may be way smarter…

Where have I gone so wrong? I feel like a total failure at this dog training stuff. Stuart is out of control at the moment and despite my best efforts seems to be getting worse. I want need Stuart to not jump into the pool whenever the mood strikes him, it needs to be invitation only as he picks the absolute worst time to drive in. He goes berserk whenever he sees…

Well, my little Bailey gets spayed today. I know she is in good hands with my vet but I am still a little worried about her.
