We finally had a nice sunny day in Ohio today and I think at the end of it, everyone was tired! Life is good!

Friday was my 2nd Birthday. It had snowed on Wednesday so we decided to head to the beach for the weekend for the nice weather and to celebrate my birthday. On our way down we stopped at this awesome store called Coastal K9 Bakery in Wilmington. My mom had surprised me and ordered a birthday cake for me.
The cake…

We love our labradoodle, Quincy, but he can be so stubborn. After being outside for a very long period of time he will not listen to our commands at all. We have an invisible fence around our front yard (a very large area) and it is virtually impossible to get him inside again. We spend hours trying to lure him back inside. He is only 2 and very playful and has tons of energy. We understand that and do play with him, but, what do we do to get him inside again. When we try to…

Are Jane and Guinness getting a new addition? I've been working all day and I'm afraid I've missed something.

I called my mother-in-law - "What were you thinking? That place was a dump - it should be condemned", I say.
"I know" she says "but Dr W--- is very good and they are working on the building"
"How can you tell" I ask.
"I don't think the husband is too ambitious" she says.
"No kidding", I say.
But in the end I agree that the doctor is wonderful but I will not continue to seek care in the demilitarized zone. She…

Let me preface this post by repeating the words of Jeannie C. Riley from my favorite childhood song The Harper Valley PTA; "No, I wouldn't put you on because it really did, it happened just this way". Maybe I used just a slight bit of literary (I know this is a stretch) license.
I have worked in the medical field longer than I care to admit. Over the years I have honed a high but certainly attainable set of expectations for cleanliness that should be met by any establishment…

He didn't need treats to win her over!! She charmed his socks off. Resistance was futile. He was hooked the minute he saw those big brown eys and the golden blond hair. Love at first sight I'm sure, even though he wouldn't admit it. Maybe his love for our lost Clay made him hold back just a little - not wanting to be disloyal or not wanting to love and lose again. I had been teasing him that I was going to get a dog that loved me as much as Clay loved him. I jokingly told him that he would…

The ever knowing (ie. know it all but I did not say that) DH came home yesterday and took Allie outside to do her business (yes this is a feat in itself. Last week he came home and did not let her out after being in the crate for a few hours and yes she did pee right in front of him..... hehehe). The back ground.... I mostly work from home and just go into the office for a little bit. During this time I put Allie in her crate. She is now six months old. So basically she is in her crate for…

Well we survived our second week. It seems like months. Beemer is doing very well. Last Friday he had his stitches out and the nurse said every thing look good. Beemer
has not had to wear his e-collar…not once.
Of course, he has been under 24 hour surveillance…so not much chance of
getting away with anything.
His scar looks amazingly well. It started out as this big…
