Happy 2nd birthday to Jasper!  This is absolutly the sweetest, not always obedient little dog I've ever met.  He is truly my lover boy.  After last potty time at night, he warms my pillow while I get ready for bed and always kisses me good night before cuddlling up to my back. Just had one of my new puppy families call and tell me that when she took her pup to the vet for a check to comply with my guarantee, that the vet told her they had just confirmed that a dog had come in with Parvo. They let her know while she was in the waiting room.  I was so glad I had told all my new families not to let the puppies touch the floor or be handled or touched by anyone but the vet.  She beat a hasty retreat and cloroxed her shoes before stepping onto her property.

My dogs and I walk every day up at our nearby park.  I love to walk in the cold weather, because I don’t have to worry about snakes.  I hate snakes and since I am always frantically looking for them, I usually am the one to see them on our walks.  I also know when I am walking with my husband and he turns suddenly and says, “let’s go a different way,” that translates to “snake up ahead and husband does not want to have ear drums blown out by screaming wife.”  How I raised two kids who are…

Lilly is 7 1/2 months old and this was her first major car ride.  Let me start by saying she is a drama queen. If a tiara would stay on her head, I would buy her one. When we brought her home at 8 wks, I should have had a clue. She cried and yelled for the first 45 minutes of the two hr trip. This little thing just tossed back her head and let it rip. During the winter we check in on my elderly mother more often to clean  the snow and salt from the walks and driveway.  As I was trying to find a snow brush in her car to attack the snow and ice, I found a Big Blue exercise ball in her car.  I looked at my husband and both of our eyes looked with fear. This week has been a tough week on DoodleKisses.  I am at a loss for words and that almost never happens.  Peaceful sleeping has eluded me and I know I am not alone.  I would like to say I can’t eat, but that is not how I deal with stress either.  For me, it started with the DRC “Home 4 the Holidays” slideshow.  I watched the show from beginning to end and was so touched by all the stories, but I couldn’t shake the image of Moses.  His story broke my heart. So all of the folders are collated and labeled, microchipping, wellness check, last night of crate training has been done. Have a funny one.  Last night my wife went down to put Riley to bed for the night in his crate.  Room was dark.  Riley, came in after doing his nightly duties.  He normally goes right into his crate, crate door is then closed and locked.  That is the only way he likes to go to bed.  Well, he must of zigged left and did not go into his crate.  My wife assumed he was in the crate and locked the door.  We couldn't figure out why Riley was barking after being put to bed.  After and hour of my…

Traveler isn’t much interested in the ocean, unless a wave sneaks up behind him and gets his feet wet.
