So Allie had her first haircut yesterday. I almost cryed when I picked her up. She was so unique before and now I think she looks like a poodle. DH kept calling her a poodle this morning. Anyway I keep telling myself it will grow out. I think from now on I am going to just get her face cut and let the rest grow out. The groomer said I had done a good job with keeping her brushed…

Last night I was out and recieved a phone call from my wife.... "Get home NOW! Brody was hit by a car!"

I raced home like Tony Stewart on a NASCAR track and found the family in the front yard with a broken and sore Doodle. He came right up to me as if to say "Daddy, HELP!"

I picked him up, which at 90 lbs is no easy feat and carefully placed him in the van and took him to the Animal Hospital here in Oradell, NJ. Brody could walk gingerly, and was bleeding on 3…

We belong to the American Maltese Association and are quite involved with rescue work. Judy was the West Coast Coordinator for Maltese rescue but, now we mostly foster dogs who come to us from shelters or from homes that no longer can or want to care for them,

Many of these dogs have been abused and several have had health problems. Most are petrified of big dogs; probably resulting from some traumatic experience with larger dogs.
