Hi everyone... it's Shelby! I am 6.5 months old and have decided to take matters into my own paws and submit a journal entry. My human (Christine) has been spending plenty of time on DoodleKisses, but hasn't written a blog in a long time. It's not that she didn't have anything to share... she just didn't know if it was blog worthy (would people want to read it). I know you would want to read a blog post if I authored it... so here it goes!

Jackdoodle and I attended the Paw Pad romp in the forest preserves this morning; we had a wonderful time. Jack is the only honorary Paw Pad labradoodle in existence. (I have no photos, as I forgot my camera. I had all I could do to remember Jack and all his assorted paraphernalia, including but not limited to many bottles of water, many tennis balls, his boots, poop bags, etc.)

It was great to see Leslie & Halas again, and Penny with Comiskey and of course little Beemer! Beemer…

Of all nights I went to sleep early! Dublin is watching and Barking like a Doodle!!

Tonight Mariner had another seizure. He had Heartgard Plus 4 days ago. We have discontinued using the Frontline Plus as we feel that this may lower his seizure threshhold. Now this is the second time that he has had a seizure within 4 or 5 days of having the Heartgard Plus. This is to much to be a coincidence.

I am interested in knowing if anyone's dogs have had adverse reactions to heartworm medication, particularly…

I decided to do more research after our DK disussion about Animal Planet's Investigation into Pet Land after a conversation Karen and I had. I wrote that Samantha was from a BYB and not a Puppy Mill.

I knew that BYB breeders didn't raise their puppies in their living rooms and than that Momma Dogs didn't sleep in the kids bed but I guess I thought that at least conditions were at least cleaner. I guess I had hoped or I just lived with me head in the…

After my Mom made me wear this horrible orange collar that delivers "stimulation," I can no longer chase deer. I am really bummed because I love chasing deer. Almost caught one once and my Mom wasn't even happy!! Would have tasted so good on the bbq. At least I can still chase mice and squirrels and other critters in the yard. Killed a fat rabbit this morning. But no more deer :( This is a sad time for me.

I just had my 2nd birthday this weekend. My mom had to work (bummer) but before she left she gave me this, my very own squirrel..I just love it..So me and my squirrel waited by the door all day for mom to get home. After she was home we went outside and played some ball ( I just LOVE to play ball) and I did'nt want to stop for no dumb party.

Abel has graduated from his beginner obedience training from Pet Smart. I'm not sure he really learnt too much from this. Most of it was already stuff he already knew or stuff we just need to keep working on but in a differen't environment. He did meet another doodle though and we now go for play dates every Saturday.
