Just read the rules and baby has to be a minimum of 3 months so none of these will work anyway...Thanks for looking! I'll ask again after she turns 3 months as the contest ends 1 month later.
Totally off topic, but I need opinions! For those who would be interested in helping me select a photo of Natalie for the Parents.com/Regis & Kelly cutest baby contest...which one from my album below would you choose? Please respond with your top 3 favs. NOT sure if they favor smiling…Continue
Rosco does this EVERY time Clark takes off his slippers.
It's even funnier, but harder to film, in the bedroom where he squeezes in between the wall and the bed and flails himself around in a far-too-small space for the sake of enjoying the aroma while hunching his… Continue

Someone knocked on our front door. Which was odd because I had put a sign up a few weeks ago asking people NOT to knock or ring the bell unless we were expecting them (due to the fact I could be nursing or sleeping at any given moment and unable to answer and didn't want to be awakened by dogs barking). So Clark peeked out the peep hole and decided whoever was on the other side of the door seemed decent. I heard "What color was the dog?" "Black" and quickly assumed the loose… Continue
Hi, Rosco here. You wouldn't know it from looking at me...because I'm so beautiful I should be a model, but I'm quite the athlete. An agility star really (IF my mom would get her act together and enroll me in the sport, anyway).
See how gorgeous I am?
This is me after my grooming today:
THIS is my sister Thule--quite the dainty… Continue
Thank you all for all your congrats and kind messages =) We are indeed overjoyed and loving Natalie SO MUCH--it's amazing how much you can love someone you just met =)
Some of you have asked how we are doing and how the furry kids are taking to Natalie.
We came home yesterday afternoon. So far so good...and tired...but so in love with this little bundle the tired part isn't overtaking us YET!
Natalie Carlise entered the world today at 10:55 am weighing in at 8 lbs 12 oz and is 21.5 inches long.
She's PERFECT and I will up post pix when time allows.
I know that you're not scheduled to arrive for another week or so, but please know you don't HAVE TO wait that long. Really...after all this time...you're welcome home at any moment. Your room is ready see?
The doodles had their annual check-up today and each has their issues to deal with now.
Rosco is as healthy as a horse and weighs as much as one too. He has gained approximately 14 pounds in the last year (from age 2.5 to age 3.5)! I knew he was getting a little chunky but would never have guessed he'd have gained THIS much. He's now about 95 lbs. We don't give out treats often so it isn't that. My poor always-starvin' boy is gonna go on a teeny bit of a diet now much to his… Continue
Our nursery is half way done. The doods are very curious, but mostly about the sudden emergence of a million stuffed animals that they don't have free access to. "What is up Mom? Don't you know stuffing is a suffocation hazard for infants? I want to help, give 'em all to me and I'll make them safe!"
Yesterday I sat in the glider with my laptop and listened to Rosco's quiet whine,… Continue
This weekend I got the chance to attend a dog training seminar. I couldn't go both day 1 and 2, only day 2 but am thrilled that I went even for that. The night before class 2 I got to have dinner with 7 other trainers and a couple others and I was just in heaven ... heehee.
The class was geared more towards trainers and based on a specific method (that Rosco and I did) and I learned a TON! Most everyone there had a dog (or more) with them so they could do some practice with their dog… Continue
My dogs were in the yard when I began to wonder what they were making such a commotion about. I stepped out to find a friend of mine who'd popped in to visit us so we could meet his Weimaraner. So this Weim is 'sorta' his dog. He and his wife rent a place that doesn't allow dogs but he's always wanted a Weim so he's 'adopted' Jake who lives with someone he knows. He borrows Jake every other day and takes him for runs, hikes, hunting, etc.
Jake spent the first 2 years of his life in a… Continue
Back in March on a business road trip to Western WA I got to have dinner with Jordan's mom, Tante and although I took a few pics, it was only tonite that I managed to remember AND find my camera cord (since I had forgotten to put a memory card in my camera--my brain was just totally missing that night) so I could extract the photos. Here's a link to the original blog about the evening:… Continue
So I came home today to a hint of 'accident' aroma in the air, but it wasn't strong (or my nose is plugged). I went immediately into doggy dinner mode because as soon as they had THEIRS I could eat MINE in peace.
I scoop up Cass' food and deliver it to her bowl.
Next I scoop up Rosco's food and ... deliver it... Ummm...there's a massive turd behind Rosco who is behind his bowl. My evening flashes before me and I try to ESP to Rosco "Whatever you do...DO NOT step backwards dear… Continue
We had just finished up a walk and were entering our yard when Rosco attempted to run after something (in the yard). I let the leash go so as not to get pulled on, figuring it was a squirrel. It was pretty dark in the yard, but the squirrel morphed into a cat. Frightened me a little, but assumed the cat would be quick enough to get away ... this 'cat' was was not that quick...just barely staying ahead of him...I started yelling after Rosco "NO" but he was deaf. Didn't attempt any other command… Continue
In my previous blog we learned the story of Rosco's lost squeaker.
Today, a week later, we made the trip to PetCo again in hopes for a successful match and Clark spotted a little devilish squeaker that looked and sounded to be the same type that he has at home now (the ratted, circling the drain but still living one). We bought it.
Rosco was happy with it and I left him in… Continue
