The other day I took the dogs to the park and when I got out of the car, I spotted a penny on the ground, heads up.  Reciting the line, “Find a penny, pick it up, all day long, you’ll have good luck,” I bent over and retrieved the penny.  I can now say, speaking from experience, that a lucky penny does not really hold all that much luck and any luck it gives you must run out pretty quickly.

Hurray for the new year.  I am enjoying my life with my Sam.  We are in our second year together and in this year we will be leaving the snowy mountains during the month of February for the warm sand in Florida.  I'm hoping to post on here more often because I love connecting with doodle families!

So I didn't get any table food on Thanksgiving....so I thought I would get even tonight....Mom made hot chicken sandwiches on a croissant roll and she had 4 chicken wings on her plate. Yesterday was a total washout with the “outer bands” of Hurricane Matthew. This fickle hurricane did not follow the predicted path of turning East and looping to the South. We were battered with very gusty winds and torrential rain Saturday and Saturday night. The rain finally quit this morning. The total rain fall from the storm was 7 inches at my house.
