Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
SINGLE BLACK FEMALE seeks male companionship, ethnicity unimportant. I'm a very good girl who LOVES to play. I love long walks in the woods, riding in your pickup truck, hunting, camping and fishing trips, cozy winter nights
lying by the fire. Candlelight dinners will have me eating out of your hand. I'll be at the front door when you get home from work, wearing only what nature gave me.... Call (404) 875-6420 and ask for Annie, I'll be waiting.....

Our new puppy arrives next Saturday. We are very excited & I wanted to share this picture of the litter since the beautiful mom is the picture of patience :) We've named him Oskar & he is a mini/medium double-doodle. We recently lost our 13.5 year old lab that we loved dearly & decided it was time for a new love in our lives.…

Today is the day our son and his family pick up their new puppy! Tom and I are so excited for them and we can't wait to meet the little one! We haven't been interferring grandparents, but I bet we are interferring grandpup parents! There are eight or nine puppies and they actually get first pick this morning, although the foster mom has one picked out that she thinks will be the best for their young family. Their daughter is a pecocious 28 month old who isn't at all intimidated by our…

My heart breaks when I see posts from owners looking to rehome their dogs. I don't get a chance to log-on to Doodle Kisses often. And almost every single time I log-on, I see a post from someone looking to rehome their dog.
I really don't understand, so I usually refrain from commenting. We live busy lives--I'm a lawyer and my husband is a software developer. We have kids--young ones. Our puppy is wild--just stopped nipping the kids, but still jumps all over them! We live in a…

I get accused all the time of worrying more about my dogs than I do the human beings in our household. I am not saying the accusations are wrong in some cases, but since I speak for my dogs and I love to speak, sometimes I feel I have no choice. The impatient gene runs in my family and I have passed this gene down to one of my daughters. In fact, my husband has mentioned on more than one occasion that there should be a support group for men who marry into this family. I even mentioned it…

I have had quite a few PMs asking how Gracie Doodle is doing. I figured it was time to update you all on her continuing condition. I am not sure where I last left off but I am pretty sure that I told you that she was treated for one month. Great for a month or two and then it came back, started treatment and then the day we were to start cutting back on her Prednisone the jaw pain came back so we have since then continued to give her two 20 mg each pills a day.
Gracie has…

I'm bummed that I don't have stories to share or pictures to upload of my Doodle- which is because we don't yet have a Doodle :)
I joined this forum to learn more about the breed and prepare myself for when getting our Doodle is a reality!
I'm currently wedding planning (under 6 weeks!) and continue to look for jobs as we settle into a new…

I drove up with the Dunkster to Westport, NY (Lake Champlain/Adirondacks) for a quick weekend trip. My friend and her family rent a few cottages on this one property right on the lake. We LOVED IT!!! It was his longest road trip. (5 1/2 hours) and Duncan was great. He napped mostly and would pop up every so often to check out the view and give me the "how much longer?" look. We took 4 mile walks every morning. And he was giddy to chase/track chipmunks galore.
And then in the…

It was Luna's second birthday yesterday... and I decided to make her a special birthday treat. She has a sensitive tummy, so I stuck with things that haven't caused her any troubles in the past.
First, I took some of her favorite fruits and some peanut butter and blended them until smooth. I then added a small container of low-fat vanilla yogourt (didn't have any plain).…

Is there a tooth fairy for dogs? Well, I certainly hope so because our Milton is losing teeth! Over the past few weeks, I have been vigilantly checking Milton's mouth with no movement whatsoever. Then just recently, I noticed a little gap and realized our baby lost a tooth!
We heard that most pups lose their baby teeth at about four months, so I was beginning to assume our goldendoodle is a late bloomer. Now this is obviously a watershed moment for our little Milt, although…

The new photos I posted have fun significance! One is Mater, taken for the photo on his VA Badge that everyone at the hospital insisted he have (security didn't require it). Mostly because several of the nursing teams wanted to include him on their web page as part of the team! He loves it there and they love him?
The puppy is the one my son is getting this weekend! He'd been cruising the Internet for months, lookin mostly for a rescue or shelter dog. In part because he didn't…

On our daily walks, Milton delights in running through sprinklers and toweling off in the plush grass. Since the Milt sheds only slightly, his fur quickly becomes matted down with dirt, grime, and an assortment of leaves, sticks, and burrs that he saves for later. He then proceeds to nap throughout our apartment spreading the wealth.
Quite honestly, we could bathe the Milt every night, but it is enough work to keep ourselves clean on a regular basis, plus it is just not healthy…

It's been awhile since I have been on this site. A lot has happened that kept me away. I planned on getting a Goldendoodle down the road as my American Bulldog, Buster, started to age. My plan was that this would help me transition into the idea of losing him. When I got Buster 9.5 years ago, it was strictly to help me through losing Casey, my 11 y.o. boxer, that was growing ill. When it came time to put Casey down, this puppy Buster was right there when I got home to make me smile again.…

For the past few weeks, I have had a little secret, and if you know anything about me, you would know that I'm a horrible secret-keeper. I usually get so excited and can't wait to spread the news, but this time I kept my big mouth shut. Well, I woke up this morning and decided that "enough was enough" and it was time to let the cat doodle out of the bag...drum roll, please...…
