Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Just had to share what an intelligent labradoodle (but aren't they all?) and a patient, determined owner with the right energy can accomplish.
Our girl Lola II who will be eight weeks old tomorrow and has been with us just a week and a half has MASTERED all of the following:
Sit, nice (as in taking treats and not mouthing the kids) stay, lay, shake and is 95% housebroken. The only accidents she has is if I don't stick to our schedule for one reason or another...like when I'm…

It seems like forever since I have been on Doodlekisses. The cottage has been all consuming and I am busy making a prayer shawl for a friend of a friend that has cancer.
This time last year,I was buying puppy things like they were going to quit making them and looking forward to our little bundle of fur. As I write this, Lilly is sleeping next to me on top of her stuffingless fox that is all but a rag. She has distroyed all her wonderful toys. She can find the squeeker and pull it…

Or so we think - seems there was a little confusion as to the actual date from the rescue but we believe it is April 5th. Dh, Rooney, Stuart and I will spend his b-day taking a road trip up to Marietta to dd's house for the Easter weekend and of course while there we are meeting up with Stuart's full…

After over a year of grief from losing our beloved doodle Lola, we decided to adopt again. On Saturday, March 24th we welcomed Lola two, a black F1 baby into our home! She is now 7 weeks old and is doing wonderfully. We couldn't have asked for a better baby. Pictures coming soon as well regular updates on her progress. ♥

We picked Finn up on Saturday March 31st. He'll be 8wks old on Wednesday. He's a cream colored F1 GD. He is the cutest, sweetest, lil baby which is good because he appears to be a force to be reckoned with. :-)
He is CHEWY... he puts EVERYTHING in his mouth. Dirt, leaves, grass, sticks, rocks, mulch, plants, furniture, the couch, the blanket, my arm, my shirt, my hand, my foot, my shoes, my pants, the leash, pretty much everything he comes in contact with. :-)
He HATES the…

I don’t know about the weather in your region, but here on the East Coast, tulips and pansies are out in full bloom, the dogwood trees have buds on them, and the grass is finally green! it’s a beautiful thing to see I say….
For my boys though, spring is like a traffic light stuck on “green” for GO-GO-GO to the backyard for ton’s of fun. I really do not let them out much in the backyard during the winter months (unless there’s snow) because it stays very…

April Fool's Day is my Dolly's Birthday. This will be a big year for her, she will have her first littler of puppies this summer. If I had a third arm, tons of money and no brain I would consider getting a puppy from her litter. Two doodles will have to do for now..... Happy Day cutie pie. Here's a picture at 1 years old: And now at 2....…

Last year around this time, I fell in love with a cranberry leather sofa and since our living room couch was almost twenty years old, worn, and faded by the sun, we decided to place the order for our new couch. My kids will tell you that when we bought that sofa in 1992, I guarded that sofa like a mama bear does her bear cubs. Up until that point, most of our furniture was hand me downs and that sofa represented our first major, expensive purchase. I knew there was not going to be another…

Cider had his first Vet visit under my care. He weighs almost 21 lbs!! Anyone else have their pup weigh about that much at 11 weeks? He was such a good boy, he's in great health thankfully!!

Yesterday, I received an e-mail from Ernie's breeder, Debbie, written in Ernie's mom's voice. Her name is Dazzle, or Dazz for short. Because it was soo stinking cute, I'm going to copy and paste the original e-mail from Ernie's mom here, as well as my reply, in Ernie's voice!
From Dazzle, Ernie's mom:

I promised I'd be back and here I am to fill you in the on the recent developments! To my surprise, my post last week created quite a stir. Today, I sit here and my eyes feel like they may withdraw into my head because I'm so tired! My last two weeks have been filled with sleepless nights, and now we have a puppy!
To get everyone up to speed, the plan for the engagement changed, if only slightly. (If you don't know the story, see the details…

Today was a big day for Bailey ...I found a groomer here in town that had a great reputation for grooming large breeds. Eric-the-groomer came highly recommended so I jumped in with both feet to finally have Bailey groomed for the summer. I am pleased with the way she looks but wished he had left her face a little longer as well as the plummes(sp) on her tail. I actually brought a picture of Banjo with me so he could get an idea of what I was looking for.
Eric the groomer…

On our yearly trek to Gilbert AZ we leave behind our beloved Fozzy Bear. We found a wonderful family to watch him while we are gone. I interviewed several dogsitters and fell jn love with this family once I saw the way Fozzy and and they reacted to one another. They send me daily pix and updates on him. He is having so much fun with them and their dog he may not want to come home.
Because I know he is in such good hands I havent…

Happy 4th Birthday to Zeke! He is our 1st of 3 doodles who still thinks he is an only doodle. This big fluffy guy is lovable, smart, very intuitive, obedient, serious, bossy and a pure joy! He is a big part of the reason we now have 3. Happy birthday big guy and many, many more!…

This “heart warming” story just HAD to be shared. Dogs – be they doodles or not – can truly impact our lives in so many ways….
Enjoy
A lot of us are so dependent on our dogs we’d list them right up there with oxygen.
For Alida Knobloch, her dog is oxygen.
The three-year-old Georgia girl, who has a…

Sunday started out like any other weekend day. I was in my bedroom when my daughter came in and she and the dogs piled into bed with me. I asked her what she was doing and she told me she was playing a game called Words with Friends on her Ipad2. Never having played this game before, I watched her play for a bit and told her to let me play. Big mistake. I hate to admit this, but I am actually a Scrabble virgin. I have never played the game in my life, yet I have seen it…

I just had an experience that terrified me. Guinness and Murph were playing here in the den, and I was on the computer. They were doing their "shark biting" thing and having a good time. Then I noticed that there was a problem....they both started thrashing about and Guinness was making an ungodly noise. I jumped up and realized that their collars were somehow stuck together and Guinness could not breathe...he was strangling. The problem was that they were thrashing so much that I…
