This past week has been quite crazy..............my daughter has been sick since Tuesday and I have been home with her. I will be taking off one more day to make sure she is 100% before I take her back to daycare. I do not want to send her back too early and then get a call later that day to have to pick her up again.
So, it was me, Rylie and Bear. To watch Bear with her has been amazing......................she did get annoyed with his constant sniffing and kissing, but I kept on…

After an exhausting holiday in New York for Xmas we arrived home to our Beautiful Kids ( wich i missed very much) and spent a few weeks just swimming, running and spending time together before going back to work. As i work for Qantas the kids hate the sight of my bags and especially my uniform.

Oliver graduated from puppy class today! He passed his test with flying colors! ...and, just to show off, he rolled over on command for everyone...TWICE! lol He's such a good, smart boy! Also, we bought a gentle leader harness last week and he is MUCH better when we're walking through PetSmart now! Hoorray!
He had the last of his puppy shots this week too! He's a big boy…

So, its 11:00 at night....we are trying to potty train Milly (the dog) and trying to teach her to navigate the three steps out the back door..must take Milly outside...must put Spooks the cat into the garage for the night
I'm convinced the dog has a concusion (from falling off the back steps trying to get down them) & a broken leg (from tripping over my arm when I was sitting on the floor with her)......the dog really isn't hurt except in my mind of course
I'm carrying…

It's time for another installment of "As Rosco Wees"...
We made significant progress yesterday! While the chicken broth idea has not taken form ( I don't cook meat, so the motivation to buy a chunk of chicken isn't very high ) -- I did use tuna again.. two cans worth (well WE humans ate the tuna...)!
What I did is drain off the tuna liquid into a plastic container... then rinsed out the tuna cans into that same container.
Next, I froze the tuna water.
Finally, I…

Jedi my goofy boy who is scared of eveything and is a little bit wacky. The other day I poored his food in his bowl then left to watch some tv. CRASH! I ran back into the kitchen and there was Jedi with all his food all over the floor squirming around on his belly across the floor trying to collect them. JUST LIKE IN MARLEY AND ME!!! I laughed and then he looked up at me his big tail wagging away then he just carried on.

Koda and I make yearly trips to Long Island but we always have done it in the summer time. This was the first time we made a winter trip (and being as cold as it is I remember why!). I was VERY excited for Koda to see snow for the first time. He LOVED it! He was doing snow zoomies like no one's business but my absolute favorite moment was when Koda discovered he could eat the falling snow! I managed to catch one of these moments on video (thankfully!) and thought I would share it (but I have to…

I need help with my baby. Any time I take her anywhere in the car she freaks out. She barks, she pants, she runs around in the back of the car and tries to come to the front. Got her a seat belt harness, but that doen't help, she gets the harness so twisted that she makes it very short. Finally decided to put her cage in my car, which takes over the car, and she still freaks out in it. I have her pillow, her treats but nothing seems to help. She usually has no problem getting in the car, or…

I had our consult with Kathy Sadaio, she is an Animal Behaviorist out here. I wanted to see her because Jordan does this thing with some dogs.Jordan will grumble at dogs who try to sniff her butt. I had been told by other trainers that this was normal and dogs speak for Do not do that.If the dog submits to her wishes(stops sniffing her) Jordan is great and will play. Jordan never fought,or bit another dog.
Basically do not worry it is normal.
Well Kathy told me the same thing. I am…

We have noticed that our goldendoodle Jedi enjoys watching our family playing wii games. He watches the screen so intently actually noticing when things move and all that. He loves some of the Wii Play games like the tanks game and the target shooting game. He likes bowling and tennis on Wii Sports. Well today while we were playing wii tennis Jedi was being a noisy annoying little dude. He walked right in front of the a game of tennis and SMACK! He got a wii remote right in the head. The noise…

I used to wonder what people were talking about when they asked me if Gingy matted? Matted? I only need to brush him maybe once a week! Never any mats, never any problems. Until his big boy fur came in! Wow was I unprepared for that! In a matter of a week, the poor thing had a major matting problem. So on-line I went and found DoodleKisses. I found some very helpful information on how to brush him, the proper brushes and combs that I need and a recommendation to use Cowboy Magic. I wasn't able…

We just had two Direct TV technicians come to our house to troubleshoot our TV picture, they worked until well after dark. We kept Holly and her Maltese buddies in my office so that they wouldn't bother the repair guys and to enable the techs to leave the bedroom door open (we live in Southern California and it isn't cold) so they easily could walk in and out of the house.
Holly was O.K. in the office until a technician placed a ladder outside the bay window of the office and climbed…

Someone had suggested I try giving Rosco diluted broth to encourage him to drink more earlier in the day.
Today after I had used up a can of tuna for me and Clark...I had an idea! Since there was a smidgen of tuna left in the can (just enough to make a dog want to lick out the can) I rinsed the can into a doggy water bowl and then added more water and after some re-assurance that YES the tuna water was for HIM... Rosco drank that up with glee!
So tomorrow I will buy some…

Normally I walk Gingy when it's dark...either before the kids are up in the morning, or after they are in bed at night. My husband was on vacation over the Holidays so I got to sleep in (yeah!) and walk the dog during daylight hours. The 1st time, I thought there was something wrong with us and kept checking to see what everyone was staring at. I don't know why it took me so long to figure out it was Gingy they were staring at. There were kids and adults with their faces pressed against the…

I started cutting off Rosco's water supply at 7pm (give or take 10-15 min) 4 days ago:
Day 1 (New Year's Eve) -- last potty break at midnight -- no potty in the middle of the night -- success!
Day 2 -- last potty break around 10pm -- He woke us up in the middle of the night for potty -- fail!
Day 3 -- last potty break...10-11? -- We were up VERY late and when something else woke him up we sent him out so don't know if he would have gotten up or…

Holly graduated from Puppy Obedience Training at about six months. She learned all the basic commands, sit, down, come and stay (well - maybe not so great at staying). She also learned to walk on a loose lead.
However, Judy and I decided that Holly was not really ready for serious training because her attention span was not long enough. We decided, that since she was a pretty darn well behaved dog due to the puppy training; we would wait until her first birthday before we did any…

Holly is an extremely intelligent dog and trains very easily. However, she takes no interest in fetching. She will not fetch a ball; even when her best buddy (Shadow, our daughter's Labrador who has a fetch fetish) runs after the ball for hours to fetch.
I'd like Holly to fetch since it would give her a lot of structured exercise. Actually, it is not really a big deal that she doesn't fetch because she runs all over our one-acre fenced property. I probably would like her to fetch…

I have hundreds and hundreds of pictures of my little loved ones and I don't have the talent, time or patience to do normal scrapbooking. Does anyone out there have a free (preferably simple to use) online scrapbooking site? I really want to record my memories of my pups...
