Doodling in SoCal

Clark and I were lucky enough to meet with Bev & Willy, Nancy & Ned (and hubby), Eileen Ross & Cody, Edith & Lucy, Richard Crowe & Holly, and Kate & Yarra (with guest Mel). And I Was Worried Taquito Would Hate Lady Peri!

My husband and I have now had Peri for 4 weeks. She is 13 weeks old and things are calming down - house training going very well! I was so worried that my 5 1/2 year old chihuahua would be super jealous and not like her. Getting ready for Lily!

I feel like I am going crazy waiting for our little doodle to come home. We talked to the breeder today and the litter's go-home date might be delayed by a week because the pups may not be quite ready to leave their mama yet. I know it's what's best for Lily but I am so darn excited to have her home!

assisted living

just got back from taking rudie to the assisted living home here. we went in the memory care unit. they loved him. rudie did really well. everyone wanted to pet him. of course he loved all the attention. i hope i can take him back. (just took my mother there to stay). really sad.

4th of July Weekend....

It was a long weekend so I went home to Portland to see my parents... of course Remington went along since I didn't want him home alone for up to 16 hours while Dan worked. We left around 7 on Thursday evening. Remington did wonderful on the car ride (he always does) and was so happy to see new faces when he arrived at my parents home. We got out of the car and started playing right away outside to relieve some of that built up energy!

Proud Doodle Parent

I am so proud of our little chocolicious girl. Today in puppy kindergarten we were continued ‘Leave It’. This time from the down position. Wendy our class trainer had us pushing the envelope. She told us to work this week until we could put a treat on both paws and have the pups ‘Leave It’ for the ‘Take It’ treat. Harlow was leaving the treats on her paws for a full 30 seconds before I gave her the ‘Take It’ treat.

Nice Shiny Adult Teeth

Phil and I ran off for a “Parent’s Escape” weekend for the fourth of July holiday. DD stayed home to take care of all the four-footed children. This was the first time we left Harlow since she joined our family in May. DD is a bit of a scardie-cat and we wondered how she would do at home by herself. After we came home she told us that she slept on the family room couch with all the outdoor (and most of the indoor) lights turned on and the security system enabled. Ollie Goes to the Lake

Happy Fourth of July. Ollie is 11 weeks old and we just got back from spending the holiday weekend at the lake. It was a 2 hour drive and he sat between 2 of my kids on the very back seat of the minivan and just slept both ways. Is Guinness Drinking Too Much?

For the past few days Guinness has been very thirsty..and it's not even hot here. He drains his water dish and then looks for more. As a result, he's having to Pee often (at least every one to two hours) and has started having little accidents (very unusual). Any thoughts on why he would be this thirsty?

Doodling in Vegas & Hanging in SoCal

We are on day 4 of our summer vacation and wanted to stop by and say hello and share some photos.

We flew into Vegas late Wed night and Thursday morning began with a doodle romp with Eva (Malibu & Willow), Denice (Coco & Brianna), Sandi & Jeff (Mickey), and Renee and pink ribbon girl. Doodle Aggression?

Last night I witnessed some disturbing aggressive behavior from my normally super sweet Teddy 1.5 year old GD to another dog. We are traveling this weekend with Teddy (normally we live in the country - super quiet, we are currently in the heart of Los Angeles) so I know he is out of sorts and his element. What was mom thinking.

So yesterday the 2nd moms freind droped by and left her 2 little dogs at my house. Mom said that one was a breed called a Jack Russel and the other is a terrior. Well what was she thinking she didnt ask me first. I will be glad when they go back home on monday.

The jack is ok but it likes to try to play with me all the time and the other is just plain anoying. Someone forgot to tell him that im spayed and hes neutered. Its a site to see him try to bother me that way he is little.

Can't Decide on a Name!!!

Hi everyone. We got back today with our new puppy. We are exhausted from all the driving since we left at 6am yesterday and got home at 4:30 PM today. I did pick up the other lady's puppy, had no problems whatsoever.

Doodle Daddy, Two Months Home

Happy 4th of July everyone!

Jess has been home for a little over two months. He is making the best with what he has and continues in his cardiac rehab. He will have a defibrillator put in on the 9th. So far we have been keeping him safe. He is happy and we are managing to get back to old routines, adding Mayo trips and rehab to "routine." If there is any couple who can make a date out of going up to Mayo, it is us!
