Maddie loves to sit at the end of our patio (esp in the evenings) to watch over her domain in hopes some kind of animal dares to enter.  Her patience paid off AGAIN.  She came to the back door with another opossum in her mouth.  Standing there so proud of herself she looks so cute..... but YUCK.  I told her to drop it and come in the house, which she did.  It was hard to tell right away if was dead or alive.  This time I ran upstairs for a flashlight and camera.  I put her in a room and…

Just when I thought we were getting a handle on the chewing and poop eating, I come home to living room carpet strewn all over the room and about 2 inches wide by 18 inches long chewed carpet. Luckily it was right where the tile and carpet meet, so we were able to call a carpet man in to stretch the carpet and cover the tacking that was sticking up very dangerously for little baby feet to find.

That was Monday, call the carpet guy tues and he is coming Wed. Great. Go to the grocery…

Yesterday was Ollie's first birthday. Can't believe we've had him for 10 months. He has been such a joy to be around. He has brought us many,many smiles and giggles in the time we've had him. I am so proud of my boy. He is calm and well behaved with just the right amount of puppy enthusiasm and mischief. If I had designed a dog, it couldn't have been better than what we got.

We are lucky to have you my furry baby...may you live a long and healthy life and keep bringing us those…

Bailey has gone from 11 lbs to 20 lbs in just 6 short weeks...she is growing up way to quick...  This picture was taken on her first day home.

To give a little background to my life for the pat three weeks let me indulge here;

For the past three weeks I have got up at 6.30am and after playing, feeding and walking Riley I have donned my best clothes, put on my full makeup and added my high heels to give the impression that I am a smart city woman with a passion for fashion.  I have then driven to my showroom where I have entertained all the buyers who have come to the showroom where I have taken orders for the latest fashions…

Peli is a darling little Maltese who was found as a stray wandering in Apple Valley, California. We rescued him from the Apple Valley Shelter and found that he was blind since birth.  Imagine how scary it would be as a six pound dog wandering the streets as a stray.  Peli gets along quite well with the other Maltese in our home but was, at first, terribly frightnened of Holly.

Usually Holly can win over the most frightened dog in a short time.  We have had Peli as a foster…

Yesterday, we had an Earthquake. I was not watching TV prior to feeling the quake.  If I had been and someone could have predicted the quake ahead of time and interrupted what I was watching to tell me, I doubt that I would have heard what they said. I have become immune to these Breaking News or Weather Reports and almost immediately change the channel.…

I hope this comes out with the intention of what I mean it... I have been through enough in my life that I can appreciate a normal bad day.. you know one where no one needs to go on life support to breathe, no one died, no one lost a limb but the day is still pretty unbelievable??? For Mother's Day 2010, Doodle Kisses ran a contest.  Many of us decorated our pages, and the prize for the winner was a sculpture of your Doodle (or Doodles).  I was the lucky winner of that contest, and needless to say I was very excited!  This prize was generously donated by Kathy of Auggydoodles who does custom designed Doodle sculptures.  Sadly, Kathy ran into some personal issues and was unable to make her sculptures for many months, but she never forgot about me.  She's now back "in…

I took Riley this morning for her first visit to see the doctor! As soon as we walked in, she started crying as if knowing it was the doctors office!!

At seven weeks Riley weighs just about 3 pounds. TIIIINNNNY. However, the doc said that her heart and all is healthy.

I brought in a stool sample and they said as soon as they put it under the scope there was a bad case of parasites : (

I think my title is self-explanatory, but I am going to tell you my definition of what a person acts likes who suffers from this disorder just to make sure we have no confusion. The symptoms of Feigned or Practiced Incompetence seem to be brought on when the person afflicted with this disorder is asked to do simple tasks by a loved one.  They appear confused, befuddled, and unable to complete the task at hand even though they have been fully trained by the requestor.  They can be wily…

So I remember my saviour (Sue) at the pet supply store down the street said to me last week 'just wait until next week... when he's got more courage and energy'. I just kind of brushed it off rather than stressing too much about what week 2 would hold. Sue was right in MANY ways but week 2 is now behind us and we made it :).

After much waiting, anticipation, and preparation, Hero is finally home.  We picked him up this morning and he was even more beautiful than we expected.  He was a little uneasy on the ride home (he threw up twice), but he settled in pretty quickly when we finally got home.

We were told that he might not eat the first day, but as you can see in the picture he was ready to eat right away.

Okay... so this post has confirmed what we already know.... I'm truly addicted!  I peeked, I glanced and I even took some time to make some quick comments while on vacation.  I missed 'seeing' all of you!  We were actually delayed in LA - originally it was for 30 minutes - then as the 30 minutes were up, they extended it for another 30, then an hour and on and on.   The total delay was for FOUR hours due to mechanical problems... they claimed it was the a/c, but I…

Lilly will now go in her crate without going banshee on us. She is sleeping through the night with only one potty break. She eats 3 meals a day 6/ 11/ 6 and has a kong with a treat/dog food/ peanut butter spread about 2ish.. she is awake about 1.5 hrs and then sleeps about 2 hrs. I put her in her crate during nap times.

She has learned how to talk and will talk to you when you are talking to her.. she gets to go for a ride in the car about every other day. She still whines when she…
