Here is a link the Hope For Paws Flicker Album on saving Pepsi and Cola. They are two young poodles who were heroically rescued by Eldad Hagar of Hope For Paws. Pepsi and his sister, Cola, were living in a sewer tunnel under 14 lanes of Los Angeles freeway traffic.

We have been experiencing massive puddles in our bedroom. We ruled out our Maltese Rescues because the size of the puddle was too large for such a little dog.
The blame fell on Holly who was the only dog large enough to make such a large puddle.
Holly has been completely house trained for over seven years and we couldn't figure out why she reverted to this puppy type behavior. We brought her to our vet for a complete physical work-up with no physical problems…

My son-in-Law finally got his boat operational. It is a 38 foot 2005 Tiara. We have been waiting for this for months and went out today even though the weather wasn't great. A hurricane is skirting Southern California from Baja California, Mexico and we got into some pretty mucky weather. At one time we were caught in a 7 mile radius storm cell with lightning strikes all over.
Lucky his boat is fast and we took off at 25 knots (almost 29 miles per hour) to evade the storm…

Our darling Mini-Goldendoodle, Arizona Charlie, was adopted today.
He wants to thank his new furever parents, Beth and Mike, as well as Dr. Tony Cambridge from Veterinary Surgical Specialists of Tustin, CA for saving his leg with the correct diagnosis of a fungal infection, and all the folks from Doodle Rescue Collective. Inc. who were involved…

Charlie is our rescue mini goldendoodle...
I heard Charlie barking non-stop and though that he wanted to go see the chickens whom he loves. However something seemed strange about the tone of his barking.
As I rounded the corner into the patio by my kitchen door, I saw that he was barking at the shoes I had…

Not really, yes tomorrow is my 75th B-day and yes, we are getting 11-dogs. But, we won't have them with us permanently.
Maltese Rescue California is on a list of rescues who will get dogs from breeders when the breeders are over their allotted number of dogs or if the breeder is not up to Animal Control standards. Animal control would rather have the breeder turn the dogs over to a rescue, like us, than confiscate the dogs and try to have them adopted from the…

One of our four young hens jumped out of the hen box as Judy was changing water for the birds. Holly saw it and carried it away in her mouth. Judy yelled, Holly drop it and Holly dropped the hen who was a bit flustered but, luckily not hurt at all. I don't think Holly was malicious, just curious what this thing running around her yard was...
Anyway, we have a hen house set up and I am going to build a run alongside it.
We plan for these hens to be egg layers not eating…

I didn't have to travel to the Phoenix area to pick up Charlie Doodle. His Foster Mom's niece traveled to California on Thursday and I met her in San Bernardino to pick up Charlie. What a difference, it's 90-miles to San Bernardino and over 350-mikes to Phoenix. That would have meant a lot more gas as well as expense for a motel and meals…

Please let your friends know about this commercial on the Academy Awards as so many people record shows to avoid the commercials. This little dog, probably Maltese/Terrier mix was rescued from the Devore Shelter in San Bernardino. This is definitely a high kill shelter.

Well, "the best laid plans of mice and men" Judy has had surgery and we cut down the number of foster dogs in our home to make it a bit easier for me to care for the dogs and Judy while she is recuperating. Suddenly this happened...

Judy had foot surgery today and as soon as Holly saw her on the bed at home, Holly hopped up to keep her company. Somehow, Holly knows not to touch the operated foot.
BTW: Judy is doing just fine. They replaced the joint in her big toe due to arthritis. Modern medicine is…

My darling Holly is seven years old today. I love her more every day. She is a wonderful friend to Judy and I and to our rescue dogs. We have a new rescue Yorkie + Poodle mix, named Sydney, who is terrified of other dogs. Holly will bring her around in a couple of days.
Surprisingly, Sasha, our Jack Russell + Papillion, mix, is also making the little dog feel at home. I had Sydney and Sasha on my lap together for about an hour this morning.…

Although Holly only weighs in at about 55 pounds, she is a very powerful dog! Last night I had Holly on a flexi-lead to go on her night time potty. I had her on the lead because it has been raining and I didn't want her paws to get muddy.
Somehow she tangled her lead with a plastic hose-mobile. And started to drag it. Hearing the noise of the dragging hose cart, I turned around to see what was making the noise. At that time the cart fell over with a loud noise which scared…

I was surprised that several of our volunteers had never heard of a "Flying Saucer Dish" so I thought I'd post a picture of one. It is great for a group of puppies because it keeps the food out around the rim. I could not find one at Petco so I purchased it online at Revival...…

None of us want to think about dying. We hate it so much that we don't even want to use that term. We call it "passing" or some other euphemism. However, there are few guarantees in the world but, one guarantee is that we will all die eventually!
What happens to our beloved pets who outlive us? We need to make arrangements for their care and happiness before we die! It is traumatic enough for a pet to lose its beloved owner but, it is doubly traumatic for a house pet to…

This was posted on a neighborhood website. I have used wasp spray for wasps and I can affirm that it is accurate and can shoot a distance.

I’ll bet you expected a Photoshop tutorial on how to change colors of an image. This has nothing to do with Photoshop or any other editing program. I changed the color of my home from blue to “GREEN” by switching TO SOLAR ELECTRIC GENERATION…
Since I live in an area that has ample sunshine (at least 260 sunny days per year), I generate plenty of solar power for my needs. I would expect that in areas in which sunny days are not so abundant, solar generation might not be as cost…
