Man it's been an exciting week for Darwin!

Linda, of Linda and Murphy was kind enough to send me a Utah geology book. We were talking about interesting rocks in Utah and my upcoming Bryce Canyon trip and she was so nice to offer it to me! Well, instead of just sending the book she sent a whole box of goodies for Darwin and I, how wonderful of her! Darwin is enjoying his spoils and I'm having a blast looking through the book. My Darwin has been missing for a while now. His very reasonably sized self disappeared gradually, leaving a giant, massive fluff in his place. It was quite disturbing to see him slowly slipping away. And who on earth does this puffy monstrosity think he is?

Don't get me wrong, giant fluffs can be very cute and soft. They attract a lot of admiring attention, and they look amazing when the wind blows through their luscious locks. But they are a pain in the butt to brush and…

Hooray! I returned from classes today to find it warm-ish, sunny and beautiful! It was a little windy but I will take what I can get. I was so glad to get a break from the wet, cold, grey weather we've been having lately. In celebration, Darwin and I had a little picnic out on the lawn. He enjoyed it even more than I did! I also took advantage of the sun and took some photos of Darwin, something I never tire of. :-)

Darwin has always enjoyed watching t.v., to some extent. He will perk up when he sees dogs, or hears high pitched singing, etc. During things like a dog show, he will watch for a few minutes at a time. But he has a new favorite show, one that he will sit and watch the whole scene for, ears perked. I've even seen some head tilting action. :-)

It's "2001: A Space Odyssey" the first scene where the apes are evolving... LOL. I know, totally random. But he seems to enjoy it a lot. I have…

A missionary knocked on our door this morning to give us a bible and invite us to his church. We aren't religious but we thought it would be nice to take the bible from him anyways. Well, 10 unsupervised minutes later... 

I think this may be a double bad for Darwin. Just when I thought he was broken of his paper shredding…

Whew, what a busy and fun holiday! We were worried Darwin would be a little stressed or would feel left out, but he had a blast! We spent a lot of time with my husband's family, who completely spoil Darwin. He definitely enjoys the attention. He also got some presents from my younger siblings that he is enjoying thoroughly. I added a video of him opening and playing with one of his favorite gifts. It's a treat dispensing ball that is similar to what the buster cube does. He loves…

DH used to play guitar but for the last couple of years has been too busy to practice at all. Well, he decided to pull it out for the first time since we've had Darwin. I never expected such a strong reaction from our mellow pup! His reaction was hilarious because it was completely unexpected. DH played a chord and Darwin jumped about 4 feet and BOLTED.  I thought at first that he was afraid of it, because of his crazy reaction. I was shocked because Darwin isn't freaked out by any sounds…

As many of you remember from here, I made a book for my nephew that had photos of him and Darwin doing things together. Well, photos edited to make it look like they were doing things together. :-) Anyways, I gave it to him over Thanksgiving and he loved it.
