Marianne shared this with me and I thought you all would enjoy it as much as I did.
Turn on your speakers, grab something to drink and be prepared just to sit and smile!
I will add that this makes me realize how lazy I have been with training. Back to work for us!!…

Yesterday afternoon I realize something is wrong. REALLY wrong, I am experiencing MAJOR pain in my stomach. I go into the kitchen where my son, Mark, is. He is 11 years old. I look at him and I tell him something is wrong and I need his help. Mark helps me put my shoes on. I call DH and tell him to come home immediately. I then call my mom because I am thinking she can stay with Mark. I need to get to the hospital NOW. Surprisingly DH gets home first. He takes one look at me and says we are…

This past Monday, I took over fostering Bentley from Nina (of Nina, Phil, and Harlow). Nina had Bentley (originally named "Hobgoblin") for about 2 weeks, having pulled him from a high-kill shelter in Augusta. Nina's reports on Bentley (or Mr B, as I've taken to calling him) were glowing and accurate. He's a total love! A cute, sweet, playful baby boy!
Mr B spent Monday afternoon exploring my house (as I tried to tidy it up - I'm still embarrassed that Nina saw my house in such…

I'm sure the title alone may have captured your attention. My one year olds, Daisy and Hunter, are in a trial period of slowly having their "space" expanded while we are away at work or on errands. Now, we all now the Doodles are smart, they can be mischievous, and will sometimes leave you guessing.
Case #06152010. (In case you're wondering where those numbers came from, it's just the date of the crime and I couldn't think of any other random…

On Tuesday, Murphy and I loaded up our stuff in our little red car and headed out to Orange Beach, Alabama to spend a week with friends boating and beaching and generally having a good time. We are South Louisianians. We know there is an oil spill. We thought we could beat it. We didn't.
The condo didn't want a giant goldendoodle swimming in their pool. They didn't care that it was literally 100 degrees outside. Murph didn't understand why he couldn't jump off the dock that…

Hi Doods!
Today I went to the groomer for my summer cut. My mom has been talking about this for a couple of weeks now. When we got to the groomer - I met Stacey.... she was really nice and took care of me while I was there. Stacey and my mom talked for a while... about my new hair cut.... something about my ears was all I really heard as there was a nice pug in the shop who I was saying hello to.
Mom picked me up at about 2:00pm and she kept talking to me and…

I posted a blog a few months ago about my mother not liking Peri. She was getting into her flowers and just being a normal doodle puppy, but mom upset me by saying she "shouldn't be like this now that she is almost a year old". We spend each Sunday at my parents' house for "family day". 4 dogs get to enjoy time together playing around, us humans do fun family stuff like games, movies, etc....
Since the comment my mom made, I have stressed to my parents the importance of not just…

Holly, our year and a half old Goldendoodle, just loves puppies. Although Holly has been spayed; our work with American Maltese Rescue often provides her puppies to love and care for (see my photos for examples of Holly's interaction with little Maltese pups).
A Maltese breeder in the Pacific Northwest has terminal cancer and will soon pass away. The breeder has no one to care for her dogs so, American Maltese Rescue is stepping in to help. Judy is driving from Escondido to…

On Friday our dear Ella Fitzgerald at 4 1/2 years old officially retired, she was spayed. It is bittersweet because it is time, but I still swallow a lump in my throat. I do not know if I can find the words to express how I feel about Ella but am going to try.…

Hi, It's me Quincy, I want to tell you about my fun day and how I made my mom and dad proud. Today we went to a Pet Expo, it was a fundraiser for our local shelters that help the animals. Yipeee! Dogs were allowed inside. There are not many places in our town that allow pets inside. First we watched the agility demo outside and I thought that looked like a lot of fun to try but the lady said they have a really long waiting list. It started to rain a little and my mom said she didn't want me…
