WTD???????
So it was FINALLY the perfect day to play in the yard with the doodles-not too warm -awesome breeze-no rain (yet)So I thought it would be nice to play ball, they each have a certain one they like to play with outside. Nope-they just want to EAT GRASS! So then I TRIED to get some pictures of them outdoors since all we have is the same ole indoor ones.
Well, they kept sticking their tongues out at me BOTH OF THEM!!…

Now for those of you who are familiar with the Australian connotation for doodle, get your mind out of the gutter, that is not the doodle I am referring to. To say that our weather has been atricious would be an understatement, we have had 2 weeks of cold, rain, drizzle and fog, and when I say cold that's exactly what I mean. It has been so cold we now consider 60 degrees a lovely warm day. Getting the doodle out to exercise has been quite a chore and he does get a little stir crazy after a…

This weekend we went with DMIL and DFIL (doodle mother-in-law and doodle father-in-law) to the lake. Yes, WITHOUT DOGS. I was so mad about that because they have a goldendoodle too and I told them "hey, let's get a lakehouse that accepts pets and take 'em all!". They didn't for some reason...excuse was that the boats do not accept dogs since we were renting and would be out on them all day. Oh well. Choodle had an excellent time at DG (doodle grandparents - my…

Well it's day three and Cooper's second full day at home and, I have to say, things went really well... maybe even too well! I am nervous that this may be the calm before the storm ;).
First things first. Last night Cooper was bouncing off the walls before bed. This guy is definitely a night owl... which is fine because I am usually up late doing school work. I was a bit nervous putting him to bed as I thought he'd still have too much energy (even though we played fetch for a good…

We left last Tuesday to go home to Indiana to celebrate my Aunt Nancy and Uncle Bob’s 50th wedding anniversary. My uncle is my mom’s brother, thirteen years her junior, and must have been an “oops” baby. He turned out to be a wonderful blessing for my grandmother and the son that stayed behind when the other brothers moved away. For many years now, my aunt, uncle, and mom have driven from Indiana to Pennsylvania to spend the Thanksgiving holiday with our family. Along the way,…

Our little annie is about to have her first litter! She went in for her ultrasound today and the vet said at least 8 puppies! I am so excited and nervous! She is going into week 4, the puppies will be mediums-large mediums!

So, Teddy will be coming home on August 16th. The breeder contacted me last week and said he could come home
on the 12th, but i will be traveling all weekend! I THINK i have everything set up and ready to go. I am still missing a good puppy fur brush and a collar. I want to take him to get a harness and collar fitted instead of guessing and buying something…

Wilson is finally home. We introduced him to Murphy in the front yard befor bringing him inside. Murphy was very polite, only slightly interested. Wilson gobbled up every bite of his dinner. Murphy ate nothing. Wilson wanted to nap after his long car ride so I put him in his day crate while I opened some wine and threw some take out sushi on a plate. He woke up and started screaming, I ignored him, Wilson screamed, Murphy totally lost interest in his brother and went upstairs to be with…

Hello fellow doodle-lovers!
I just joined the site and am so happy I found it. So much great advice and loving stories on here. I want to share my experience after bringing home my boy, Cooper. I'm looking for tips or even assurance that I'm doing the 'right' things and also want to share my experience so maybe others can learn too!
A little about my guy
I got Cooper from a breeder in Niagara Falls (Goldendoodles of Grassy Brook). I had a great…

Just two more weeks till Hero comes home. Unfortunately, there are no new pictures, the breeder has been really busy lately and has not been able to update the pictures on their website. I am sure Hero is getting bigger and handsomer.
We went out and bought some more toys yesterday, in anticipation of his arrival. We also bought bells from Michael's and strung them on wires by the doors to get ready for potty training.
Time sure does move slowly,…

Yesterday I received an excited call from my breeder, letting me know that the temperament testing had been completed and she and the tester believe they had the perfect pup for me. It would be one of the females who has a beautiful red coat -- would I be okay with that? Ummm, yes!!
So, today I got to meet my puppy in person... and she is honestly the sweetest little thing. So curious, playful, and loving. She ran around (in what I can only imagine is what I hear lovingly…

I find this very amusing, and am getting visuals that give me the giggles. I have tried to do some yoga stretches in my living room but it usually just ends in play time with the pets. When I do downward dog, the cat makes herself cozy under my arch, and the doodle takes advantage of my hands…

My husband and I went to the Middlesex County Fair tonight and we think we spotted some long lost doodle relatives!! They certainly resemble our doods...especially when they get their summer haircuts. Check it out!

I believe that Rooney's shock setting was too high. I had dh set it down from a 2 to a 1. Then I held it and walked out to be shocked. It did not hurt at all but it did get my attention. I was fearful of feeling it and wouldn't want to feel it at a 2 which is what Rooney got yesterday. So we left Stuart's at a two and Rooney's is now at a one. Stuart is doing well and seems relaxed outdoors - Rooney remains fearful but is trying - this may take more time. He'll never go through the…
