I play golf now!

Lucy - Sensitive Puppy

Lucy is a typical 5 month old puppy. Her sole focus is on toys, treats, and play. Because she usually plays with big dogs, she plays at full tilt until she wears herself out.

Last week at our training session, there were 2 new dogs in the class. Lucy had been the only dog in the puppy class, so this was really fun. Homemade crate bumpers

I was hoping that someone could give me an idea about making my own crate bumpers. I have found many on the computer but I really don't want to pay $60 plus for them. I was thinking that I could make some with things that I may have around the house. Has anyone came up with a good crate bumper that isn't too expensive? Thanks for any help.

Sophie's 1st Halloween

Today we had trick or treating. I was a bit concerned about the costumes and groups of kids mobbing the door, but we had an amazing afternoon! Sophie barked at the sight of the first goblins but quieted quickly upon "NO!" After that first greeting from the kids and getting lots of 'what a cute puppy' comments she anxiously awaited more goblins. I absolutely love having TWO Doodles!

I always felt bad when I had to go to work and leave Chiko at home all day by himself. I was always rushing home so that I wouldn't leave him for too long. Sure... she knows to Sit, Stay and Come

Also Down, Rollover and Speak

She even knows to Catch, Back-up and High Fives

LARRY BABB – APRIL 7, 1948 to OCTOBER 19, 2008

Adventures on Stray Street

Each year I probably find or see a total of 10-12 dogs running around without an owner. Last year I spotted a huge dog who I thought I knew and without a second thought hopped out the door in a pair of Clark's boxer shorts and a tee shirt to lure him into my yard. It was Xander, my friend's Leonberger who'd wandered out of his yard a couple blocks down the road.

Hell’o’ween

What is UP with all those strange decorations in people’s yards??? I cannot figure them out! Today, my brother tried to pee on a gravestone, but just as he was getting ready, this really scary sound came on, and made him pee all over on himself instead. Lucy At School

Like any good parent, I decided Lucy and I needed training. I was absolutely sure that she would be the star of the class. After all, wasn't she smarter than any other dog that I know?

Well, so much for great plans. If you have read any of my blogs, you know that Lucy is a water dish diver. The trainer had a play time for the dogs in the class to get them aquainted, and get them calmed down. The owners had to leave the room and watch from outside.

Holly's first RV trip

Holly, our Goldendoodle pup, is used to the freedom of a very large yard. We have over an acre fenced with chain link. She loves the yard and it gives her the freedom to run.
