I just can't believe it. It seems like just yesterday that I drove 4 hours west to pick up my little 12 week old fluffball and tomorrow he is going to be 2 years old!
Happy Birthday Duncan Doodle, Duncaroni, Stinkpot, Doodlicious, and every other name i call you.
Thanks for becoming the companion I needed and wanted. I adore you when you are sweet and affectionate just as much as when you are naughty. You are such a gentle soul. Here's to another year of…

I just saw a post on Facebook and thought that we could do the same on DK. There is a little boy that is 9 years old in Canal Fulton, Ohio named Ryan Trewin that my daughter went to school with - I posted a link below with a YouTube video on his story. The post on Facebook suggested sending Christmas cards to him and I thought about the Doodle Christmas Card Exchange and how awesome it would be for him to get all of the doodle cards? How could they not bring a smile? We lived in Canal…

What funny things do your doodles do to demand your attention? Hudson never gets into anything. We are very lucky because even as a puppy he rarely got into anything. He does, however, take items of interest (usually pens/pencils) and will sit close by with it hanging out of his mouth. He usually just sits like a statue by the sofa and stares in your direction, trying to get you to look at him. Once in awhile he will do a walk by with the forbidden object, with a glance upwards of his eyes…

I ordered medium antlers to see if our 94 pound doodle and his 10 week old half brother would like them. We discovered at that point that Kona is an extremely aggressive chewer. Medium would have been a good size for Owen but Kona needed something else. I wrote to Antler Pantry asking for advice. Linda responded that I should order XL elk antlers and specify that we need very dense ones. They arrived in the mail yesterday. One XL and one L. Because she chose the antlers for their density…

Holly hasn't been getting as much exercise as she usually gets running around our big yard. It has been raining constantly since Friday and this is unusual here in San Diego County, California. I don't know how much rain we have received but, we have emptied Holly's outdoor water bowl at least once and it is almost filled up again. The bowl is about 8 inches deep. We live 1,500 feet above sea level and, while that isn't very high in comparison with some areas,…

The intelligence of these dogs is quite unnerving:
At about 6 months he worked out how to lift the catch on his pen.
Very soon after me got a new child gate, he realised that sometimes it doesn't get shut quite right and if he can just get his nose under the latch he has the freedom of the house.
And now he has graduated to he washing machine...
he can squeeze the door handle in his teeth and pull it open...
after a couple of times of finding my clean…

We just got back from the Vet and he is 39.6p! That's is up 6p! He is so handsome with some meat on his bones!
Eli is doing great, there is something to be said for a Doodle who can lay in your lap and who also has the fleece coat. Brian keeps telling him your so soft, yes you are. LOL
I thought Jordan was soft with her soft curl coat....Eli has her beat! Plus, he does not shed (but neither does Jordi)
Still some bathroom issues he had his first "accident" for…

My 7 month labradoodle got round worms and giardia. He got put on medication and now it is all gone. He still gets soft stools. I give a tablespoon of pumpkin in his food and that seems to help. He is on the Kirkland food. That is what the breeder recommended. I have taken all snacks away from him.
Wondering if I should change his food?

Not too long ago, about four to five months actually, a hilarious incident involving my doodle, Tucker, occured. My mom, sister and I went to Netflix to buy a movie, leaving Tucker out of his kennel for the first time. Netflix was closing in 20 minutes, so we left the house hastily without noticing a jar of mayonnaise left on the counter. As you may know, my dog is about five times larger than a regular goldendoodle (we think he was exposed to nuclear radiation), so he could reach the…

Porter tried to come inside this afternoon with a mangled bloody rabbit dangling from his mouth. It was so gross. I brought him in, fed him some water, and went outside to dispose of the bunny. Now, DH is saying I should have let him keep it because he earned it! Someone please talk me down from feeling guilty about taking away the mangled bunny. Also, he just turned two, why is he now so adept at killing things: catching the fly last week and the bunny today specifically. Could it be…

I am sitting here with a migraine and about to go to pick up my adorable grandchildren to spend the night. I'm not sure how I will manage this, but DH is the best grandfather or we couldn't even try it. As I lie here contemplating the next 24 hours, I am suddenly struck that my 15 week old puppy and my 20 month old grandson have lots in common.
Both are full of crazy energy!
Both are testing us constantly to determine what will happen if they misbehave.
Both…

Okay, first I must tell you about me. I have typed here before on my mom's blog, but now I am old enough to have my own blog on doodle kisses! Yaay! Anyway, lets get to the spotlight here. My goldendoodle, who is extremely lovable and passionate and loyal and the such, is a menace. LITERALLY! His name is Tucker and he is about two and a half years old and he is the cutest thing ever, so he usually gets away with things like eating my socks or drinking out of the toilet. These things are…

I haven't been on DK since the attack, I've just been so upset (at myself) that I couldn't even come to you all for the comfort that I knew would be here. Before I go any further - Rooney is fine, acts like his normal, loving, happy self so I do not think that he has any emotional trauma. We took him back to the dog park yesterday when we knew that it would be empty and he just ran right it so he isn't associating the park with the attack which is good. He is on antibiodics but we never…
