Hi! Haley here.
This morning started out as usual. Mom got up, left the room, came back but instead of saying “Good Morning Haley” she said “Happy Birthday Haley!” She made the bed, got dressed and we went downstairs. We went through the usual routine – out for a pee and then my breakfast. After I had eaten breakfast I told her I needed to go out to poop, heehee, I fibbed again. We came in and Mom went to the garage and came back with a bag…

Today I helped mum with the hoovering. Its great fun chasing the hose around whilst mum is sucking up the dust. Mum says it gives her arms a great workout as she has to keep moving it out of my way, don't know why as I just love jumping at it and trying to get it to go faster ! We also changed the sheets on mums bed, hide and seek is a great game, mum tries to put the clean sheets on the bed whilst I jump from one side to the other and then from the bottom I can get up and under! What does…

In just a couple of quick sessions, I managed to turn my usually quiet dog into a manically barking, whirling dervish that bounces off me and the walls and the furniture. And how was I able to accomplish such an interesting feat? It was simple, really. I decided to try to scare the squirrels out of the attic by making lots of noise, like shouting, banging pan lids, using a whistle and thumping a newspaper against the walls. This horrendous din hasn’t bothered the intruders one little bit,…

I have failed Phoebe. My doodle is fetch-impaired. I naively thought that my doodle would be innately able to fetch. I soon Iearned the error of my thinking and started about to teach my Phoebe to fetch with yummy treats as the reward. Did anyone ever mention how smart our doodles are (ha!). Phoebe learned from the get-go that I had those treats and it would be really silly of her to pursue that ball/Frisbee/other airborne object when I had the treats in my pocket. I mean, seriously, what if…

I knew I'd have a lovely time with Christopher ... I was out nearly all day. We had a great game of football, he does need to brush up on his defending, its too easy to get the ball off of him. We then went to pick his girlfriend up and she was looking after a little doggie, called Bel. She was great fun. We ran round and round for ages, Christopher got quite dizzy I think. Bel wasn't that keen on playing football, so we decided we would run in and out of the ditches at the edge of the park,…

When I retired a couple of years ago, I decided it was time to fulfill a life-long desire to get a dog. My previous experience with dogs consisted mostly of wonderful child-hood memories of ranch dogs in Montana–loveable, smart, working dogs. If those dogs had any issues with food, fleas, ticks, illnesses or grooming, I’d certainly never heard about them.
It didn’t take too long (okay, several weeks of poring over pictures and descriptions) to settle on either a goldendoodle…

At the end of the day, dogs may rely on humans, but they also use their skills to manipulate their owners and the world they live in. And even though dog owners like to think they're in command, the professor says it may actually be Fido who is really in charge.

Had a lovely day yesterday with my dad. I thought he was going to be doing is "mending the house stuff" all day, but............... he took me to the woods. We had a great time, chasing the squirrels (well I did, dad just watched) running in and out of the streams, and we ended up at the lake so I could have a splash about. Such heaven. Dad said when we went out he had a black dog, but came home with a muddy brown one. I had to have a bath when we got back, but I don;t mind the bath…

Congratulations finally to Buddy CGC TDI RE :) It may have taken him a little longer, but he finally completed his Rally Excellent Title this last weekend. On Saturday he finished with a 92, but on Sunday with an 82 I was happy he qualified! Dog "almost" in heat in the ring right before him, not a fun time had by me, he had a blast LOL When Buddy reacted to the dog at 5 feet…

A couple of evenings ago Trav was sound asleep and I was deeply involved in a project. I sort of registered that I was hearing him whining, but thought he was having a dream. Finally realized that the whining was still going on, and found the poor little guy practically dancing by the door, wanting OUT!! Once the door was open, he bolted and barely made it to the grass before having a diarrhetic episode. I felt so bad for making him wait when his need was so urgent! The next morning he was…
