Phoebe woke up as though it was going to be just a normal day. We took her outside to play and then she got sick three times and laid down on the grass. I got so scared that I called the vet immediately to inform the office that I was bringing her in. When we got there, Phoebe seemed to perk up a little and she even wanted to play with a GR puppy. The vet said she checked out fine--no pain in the abdomen, normal temp, well hydrated, etc. She suggested we do a ruine test as Phoebe has had so…

Well, last time I wrote we were still awaiting the results from the MRI on Dan's knee. We got them back and they showed that Dan more than likely had a ruptured Baker's cyst in his knee. The surgeons did however, want to got in a do some exploratory surgery just to make sure nothing else was wrong and while they were in there they planned on removing the screws in his knee.
We went in for surgery at 6:00 am on Thursday morning of last week. The surgery was suppose to last for 30-45…

My doodle Jazz is now 14 months old. He has an ongoing problem with Diarreah. Seems it comes and goes, but tends to be more often than not. We were up all night to let him out last night. Other than that he is very healthy. Not sure what is causing this or if it can be fixed. He destroys every toy we give him, pulls out the stuffing, frays any rope toy etc. and is sometimes ingesting this. If we give him anything with a high fat content, he goes into diareah mode. I sometimes think I have…

Hello:
I am looking for a groomer in the :Pittsburgh, Pa area for my mini goldendoodle, Truman. I want to retain his great goldendoodle look while giving him a "summer cut". Hopefully, someone has a recommendation for Truman's first haircut.
Thanks.

Jess has been home for five days. Every day is getting better, with smaller hills to climb.
The second day of Jess’s return was a work day for me. Jess’s brother was due in the morning to “watch” him and assist where needed. He arrived about an hour after I left for work. Jess did not sleep well, so he took a cat nap. Upon hearing the doorbell ring, Jess got up too fast and fainted. Of course I didn’t learn this until he admitted this to the nurse that afternoon. By Thursday the home…

All along I really believed Cali was super intelligent and she could learn anything really quick. That was my belief until we had this invisible fence installed. It is my fault as Cali always wants to be where I am no matter what, she is a super spoiled dog. So I have overindulged as I believe no one will ever mistreat her again. But she got shocked again today and I can't take it anymore. We have taught her the perimeter over and over again and though it seems she gets it, she will get excited…

Spent an hour and a half this morning at our local annual AKC dog show and got some nice pics of adorable dogs!
Here are some highlights:
First a couple of "obama dogs" or porties:
Clark threatened a number of times to approach the handler of any remotely doodley dog and ask "Is that a labradoodle?" LOL
I don't know what this is, but it's gorgeous!…

This is a video we took when we first moved in and shows Oliver thoroughly enjoying his new 3/4 acres! (Please excuse the heinously long grass- we had just moved in!) The video is pretty funny because you can tell Chloe is the prim and proper princess who doesn't like getting dirty in the long grass. She also dislikes playing with Oliver outside because he gets HER dirty in the process...lol)
Also- listen to the pretty birds in the background- I sooooo love our new house!!! <3 <3… Continue

My naughty little doodle is 14 weeks old today! (Saturday). He is adorable! He is also very naughty! Eats everything he can find and has started to dig holes in the garden!! However, that aside, he is also the most gorgeous little thing I could have dreamt of! He likes to be held like a baby when he's tired and loves to have a cuddle... This is lovely because when he isn't tired he likes to try and sink his teeth into our hands, feet, clothes etc!!!! I think he likes to imagine himself as Pack…

Sam managed to cut his right back paw pad on a piece of siding in the construction zone of the house. He is now on restricted activity and has to walk on a leash untill this heals. The vet put him on Amoxicillin and said to leave the bandage off as much as possible. It is still oozing, but looks clean. Poor boy he doesn't understand why he cannot play in the woods.

I live in Lancaster County, PA and am looking to adopt a mini labradoodle in mid June. We don't care which sex but would prefer a black and white mix or black coat. We have 2 school age kids and owned a dog previously. I would prefer to adopt from someone locally (within an hour drive). Please let me know if you know of a great and loving breeder. Thanks for your help.

Thank you for all the welcomes to the website! I have to say I am somewhat addicted to reading blogs, comments, etc. and looking at all the fabulous doodle pictures. I have already learned a lot. Should have joined a long time ago. I came upon this site as a link from a breeder website. I am considering adding another doodle to my family. Ruby will be 4 yrs. in August. Would love any advice from people who have multiples and how the process went for them. I should probably put this in a forum or…

Well our puppy is two weeks & 1 day old. Only six more weeks of waiting. Seems like a long time. Their eyes are open although in the new pics only one is smiling at the camera. Still don't know which are boys & which are the girls. I sent an email to the breeder and asked but they didn't respond, must be a secret. Just 5 more weeks and we will know which one is ours. I will keep looking at Marley's pictures, that little cutie is our puppies half brother. :-).
