As many of you know, I'm not a big fan of dog parks because of a bad experience that Dan and I had there with Remington a while back. Well, first of all... thank you everyone for the wonderful Birthday wishes... it was so nice to get them all this morning. Today has been a trying day! UHHHGGG! Remington discovered the love for shoes today and how enjoyable it can be to chew them! I went downstairs in the afternoon to find my CROCS chewed to bits! It has been a rough week for our family. Dan's uncle passed away Sunday of a massive heart attack at age 56 leaving behind 3 beautiful children and his wife. This was so hard on our family as everyone was extremely close. Well everyone, Remington got alone just fine with his neutering. He was a happy camper to come home and be with us after a long day at the vet. He was a little bit sleepy and definitely not his usual self, but he did well and the surgery went smoothly. So today was the big day... Remington Bear's neutering....
Remington woke up around 5 this morning... wanting his mom of course... so I let him jump up on the bed and cuddle with me for the next hour and a half... I wouldn't usually do this, but this morning was different... my little boy was having surgery... his first!!

Dan came home from work tonight and he had stopped by one of our friends home. They have a black labradoodle named Max... I'm sure you remember him from a past blog post. It was a long weekend so I went home to Portland to see my parents... of course Remington went along since I didn't want him home alone for up to 16 hours while Dan worked. We left around 7 on Thursday evening. Remington did wonderful on the car ride (he always does) and was so happy to see new faces when he arrived at my parents home. Last evening Dan and I went to the Dog Park around 7ish. There was a good amount of dogs in there when we arrived. I have been so sick this past weekend with a horrible cold/sinus infection. Uhhhggg! Usually my weekend are reserved for time spent with Remington and homework of course... but this weekend I just couldn't function enough to make that happen.

Thank you everyone for the comments you left on the discussion and blog that I posted about wanting to get a second doodle. We have decided against it... unfortunately. We canceled the appointment we had with the breeder as well because we knew if we even went to see those puppies we would want one.

Hello everyone, so we just got Remington about 3 months ago. He is my dream dog and so wonderful in every way I can imagine. However, we have been wanting another dog ever since we got him. Well, it was an interesting weekend... my parents came down to help me with some stuff around the new house... putting up shelves, etc. They did a fantastic job! Before they came we discovered that Remington had finally started to lose those baby teeth of his and we ended up finding 4 of them in just a few days! And lastly... we went to the Dog Park on Sunday evening....
We got Remington a Dog Park pass so that he could be with other dogs and have fun and learn to socialize better...…

Well, Dan and I had decided that Remington should probably get a little trim because his hair was getting a bit outta control. We were having a lot of trouble keeping it out of his eyes and well, lets face it, Dan and I hardly feel comfortable clipping his nails let alone near his little eyeballs... so we set up an appointment with Barkefellars in Greenwood, IN and they did a fantastic job!

Well last evening Dan brought Remington to the University so he could run around at Smith Mall. This is a big open area where students can play Frisbee and things such as that. He really liked it.
