Carriage HIll Kennel in Glenview recently built an indoor doggie pool. We decided to take Snickers for a lesson since they were offering $15 off the first lesson. The idea is to first get the dog interested in the pool an later do group lessons. As you can see from the pictures he had fun although he was a bit hesitant at first!

What a beautiful day, great people, good food, and wonderful doodles! We had 27 doodles and lots of people. Actually, 25 doodles, one Bernese Mountain Dog and one Golden Retriever! Three siblings came and they look almost identical! Several other DK-ers came and it was so fun to meet them!…

Judy just drove in from Oregon the with five puppies and four adult female Maltese (one of whom will be giving birth to her own puppies very shortly). The dogs are all in good health but, are pretty dirty but, I certainly cannot blame the previous owner who is dying for not caring for her dogs as well as they should be cared for.

Yesterday afternoon I realize something is wrong. REALLY wrong, I am experiencing MAJOR pain in my stomach. I go into the kitchen where my son, Mark, is. He is 11 years old. This past Monday, I took over fostering Bentley from Nina (of Nina, Phil, and Harlow). Nina had Bentley (originally named "Hobgoblin") for about 2 weeks, having pulled him from a high-kill shelter in Augusta. Nina's reports on Bentley (or Mr B, as I've taken to calling him) were glowing and accurate. He's a total love! A cute, sweet, playful baby boy!

Today I went to the groomer for my summer cut. My mom has been talking about this for a couple of weeks now. When we got to the groomer - I met Stacey.... she was really nice and took care of me while I was there.
