Most Saturday’s (weather permitting), DH and I try to incorporate the boys in some type of outdoor activity. Since we’ve become pet parents, this is the way our minds seem to work.

With a myriad of leftover tasks forever undone, I personally wanted to dedicate my Saturday completing a few of them, so I bowed out when Lee came barreling down the stairs rattling off a variety of places we should/could go.

Halloween is fast approaching, and the Milt needs a costume quick!  Our first big event is in very early October at Barktoberfest in Fort Woof Dogpark, and I  certainly don't want my boy to feel awkward if his costume isn't as cool as all his little buddies.  That would make for one lame Momma.

Doodle Rescue Collective Inc. was the beneficiary of the 2012 Southern California Doodle Romp. This unique picnic, held in the mountains above Malibu, was attended by doodles and their owners, including doodlekisses members. Labor Day weekend, was filled with mixed emotions. My DH and I were invited to share in a birthday surprise for a dear friend living in upstate New York, however, the hotel selected for out of town guests did not allow pets. This is Sparrow we have had him since July 6th and he is basically in charge of my life at this point.  I admit I did not think a puppy would be as much work as he has turned out to be, but he is worth it; most days!

We are taking him to a puppy training class and working hard on his homework.  He has a big heart and a funny personality so the work is worth it. But we are looking forward to the end of his "puppy troubles".
