Well in case you can't guess, I am the old.. Molly Rose is the new. LOL
Molly is doing amazing with my mom. My mom just loves and adores her. In fact apart from mentioning a few things about her new house, Molly is pretty much all my mom talks about, morning, noon and night!!!
I am so grateful they found each other... I however have been ousted for sure... I talk to my mom sometimes a few times a day she will call me or I will call her etc..
I…

Here are all 8 of them--some are more cooperative then others but I got portraits of all 8 for the perspective owners.
Here is the "blue" pup a.k.a. Winnie
above: "Brownie" although he looks more red every day! He is the biggest right…

Thats how long it took us to drive from Surrey, British Columbia to Echo Bay, Ontario.
We left at 5am Friday after no sleep and drove through to Moosejaw, Saskatchewan, arriving at 2am Saturday. DH has a friend there so we stayed at his house, and got a good sleep. Cooper got a good romp in the yard. Left at 5pm Saturday, and drove all the way to Sault Ste Marie, arriving at the inlaws at about midnight Sunday/Monday.
Im NEVER doing that drive again - or at…

Based on what I know about scary Halloween stories, I think I have a real doozy. A really great, scary story causes your heart to start pounding and increases your breathing rate. You can experience moments of sheer terror and begin to feel panicky and on edge. The most frightening Halloween stories involve lots of trembling and screaming, and yesterday, I experienced all of these symptoms and more, after hanging up the phone after a conversation with my mom. You see, she had just…

Work has been insane the last few weeks...did I say insane...I mean INSANE (&@$^^&%^&$@%^#$%@!!!!!! Because of my crazy schedule, Zoey spent a lot of extra time at Grandma & Grandpa's and with my brother who was out visiting for the week. The good news is that he & Zoey got along famously (mainly because he is the only one she seems to mind LOL). Granted, he told me multiple times what a handful she is, but he also told me what a cool little dog she is. I guess I was…

So if any of you have been "following" my posts, chats, discussions, etc you know that this has been somewhat of a challenge so far! With all of the drama surrounding the plans for getting a puppy, and then leaving on a work trip and relying on a puppy sitter for his first few days, I think I lost some of the excitement that I expected I would have.
To explain a little bit...I just moved really far from home and have been experiencing a ton of homesickness. I think I thought…

I was working from home today and Monty was keeping me company on the loft, when suddenly I heard him snoring on the chair. This is what I saw:
The sound of my camera must have disturbed his sleep and he rolled over. Since he is a big…

My big 65Ib girl will be 1 on Oct 23rd!! So far I have been doing all her grooming myself with some hairdresser scissors. Today after attempting to brush her out I finally realized what a crappy uneven job I had been doing with the scissors... so I bit the bullet and went to a grooming shop and bought the Wahl KM2 clipper along with some different blade sizes. Up until now I have only used just a normal bristle brush, so I also purchased a metal comb and a de-matter…

It is raining right now and we are so grateful. Today it will be a light rain while tomorrow we in the foothills (1,500 feet elevation) north of Escondido, can expect 1-2 inches. Not only will this save us money on our water bills, but it reduces the hazard of wildfires considerably.
We usually expect our worst fire season to be in October if we haven't received the rains by then. The wild lands can be bone dry and the Santa Ana winds can come ripping in from the deserts…

I work for the local public school and one of my duties is to assign homebound teachers for the students who cannot attend school temporary due to illness, injury, etc... This afternoon, I had conversation with one of the homebound teachers and this is what he told me.....
He told me that the little girl whom I assigned him to recently told him that her house was haunted. She told him that her mom bought this house on sheriff's sale a couple of years ago. She said that she sees ghost…

Puppy Socialization class is over - and has been for a month or so.. it was only 4 weeks.. But Chester went from quivering under my chair to playing with the other pups in the class (sort of ) on the last day.
We noticed that he didn't take to little dogs and liked older bigger dogs that have his colouring..
Now..at 5 months and 44 Lbs.. he wants to meet every dog he sees..
The transformation is amazing- we are so happy that he is sociable.
Now other dogs are a…

Amante had his first day of daycare today. They called it a Meet and Greet. I left him at 8:30 in the morning and picked him up at 5:00. I am glad to report that yes of course Amante was fantastic well behaved, got along well with others, played nice with everyone . According to his shadow he was a joy!! I of course and not surprised. I like to think that I know him well enough by now to know what he can handle.
I also know this because I spent the entire day glued to the web cam and…

My mom and I usually talk first thing in the morning each day. We all know that the older we get the fewer inhibitions we have and sometimes my mom will start talking about things I do not want to talk about before I eat my daily oatmeal. Quite frankly, in my book, there is no good time to talk about some of the stuff she brings up. If she so much as utters the words bowel movement, my heart starts to race, my stomach starts churning, and I start trying to picture myself with a…

Bella came to us one year ago yesterday. Hard to believe it's been a year already and how many feelings we have gone through having her with us. She definitely taught us what a normal dog can be like. She has done just about everything you can think to watchout for in a dog and has tried my patience more than even my youngest son! And that's saying A LOT!.
Now that we have been through the worst of it and all survived, I just can;t imagine our home without her. And the thought of how…

Gosh, can these guys eat! They are growing so fast and changing each day. I will do a portrait of each when they reach a week old, but for now, here are a few more pictures. Lyric is already getting a bit antsy and leaving them for an hour or so now and then to come downstairs and hang out with us. It must get very lonely up there in the puppy room.
Momma with some of her pups--she is a lot more comfortable now!…
