Finn loves the water!

Well after Finn fell in the pool, I was afraid that he would be scared of the water. Not at all. He has actually started to swim a little bit. He is just 13 weeks. Problem is, he is wet all the time. Not necessarily from swimming but from his new lounging spot.

Hudson's Vet App.

Hi all,

Just a update on Hudson I took him to the vet yesterday for his last set of shots yes now he can go everywhere with us=) He has not lost a tooth yet but he is almost 4 months old, so I'm thinking soon. He weighs 18.8 pounds and I can sure tell it when I pick him up lol!! Potty training well we are not their yet, he is going to the door sometimes and other then that I just take him out every half hour. Holly went to bootcamp

Holly has been afraid of large dogs all her life. In fact, most larger dogs actually terrified her although she loved small dogs. She has also been somewhat reserved with children since we have no children living with or near us. We bit the bullet and sent Holly to a three week resident training program which guaranteed that she would lose her fear of large dogs and also become acclimated to children. Well, today is the 2nd vet visit. Last time she weighed 18 pounds..I'm so curious to see how much she weighs now..

Having a rather Boisterous Evening....

Toby has been ill, and on medication, and is feeling better. Also, he is off the drugs as of today. On top of that he was groomed today. One would think he'd be tired, but no, he's SO busy tonight. Driving me nuts anyway...pawing at me, jumping around, refusing to settle down,etc. Thank goodness it's almost bedtime! He is currently having a 5 minute time out in his crate - that better work.

Harlow can’t figure out why her brothers don’t want to play tonight.

The Boys both had to have minor surgery today. Baxter to remove a mole from his flew and Sherlock a sebaceous tumor (warty looking thing) from his right rear leg. I am told both moles and sebaceous tumors are quite common in older Beagles (the Boys are almost 9). We took the Boys to the vet because both mole and wart appeared about 3 months ago and were growing. We wanted to make sure it was nothing serious.

Anyway, both had to be sedated to remove growths and are rather groggy… Continue

Update

Mickey is settling into his new home. We, Samantha, Charli and I, spent 3 days with him at Marissa & Seamus' home in Pittsburgh. He slept with them and Samantha in their bed nights #2 and 3. He is eating out of their hands, literally, which is a major step for him. M&S start a puppy kindergarten class this Sunday so hopefully there will be local puppies for him to play with. He loves to play with Samantha and Charli.

16 weeks old, and 8 weeks in!

Hi folks!

Well Penny's been with us now for half her life so far, probably doesn't remember her mom or siblings anymore, not that I'm gonna ask her...ha ha! Would she give me a straight answer anyway?

The allergies seem to have gone away, changing her food worked totally, she was so much better almost immediately, and now a week later, doesn't scratch anymore than other dog does from day to day...what a relief. Glad the cure was so simple.

Happy Birthday Buddy

Happy Birthday to my Buddy Boy!!!! He was born August 10th four years ago, and what a lucky family we are to have such a great pup added to it.

Will mom and dad cope?

Well, we had a litter of 7 goldendoodle pups with the intention of keeping one. We had the other 6 pups sold and then someone wanted to return their puppy as their vet told them he would be a lot bigger than I had advised. This was fine - I don't think they really were prepared. Now, as I am unable to find a new home for this doodle who is now 12wks old - my mom and dad have offered to take him - but I don't know if they will cope as they haven't had a dog before.

HIGH JUMPER!

A week ago, I took the Fozzmonster to the park to get some exercise. I take him to a local park with a hockey rink. They do not take the boards down over the summer, so it has been a perfect place for him to blow off some steam! Almost 16 weeks!!!

So Twinkie is almost 16 weeks old! (On Wednesday to be exact). She has been such a ball of fun in our household! Saturday we finished up all of her immunizations, and found out she has lost three teeth! I rewarded her for being such a good puppy while at the vet w/ a Kong toy, another rubber toy, some new treats, and a new collar! The one she came w/ was just about choking her! Hypocritical? I think so....

Between July 2nd and July 20th, Lizzie lived with my grandparents. I had two trips to take where I couldn't take her with me; a family vacation to FL with my family and then a camping trip with the DBF's family. I worked 5 straight nights in between and figured it wouldn't be fair to jostle Lizzie between places. Dear Spud,

As the oldest in the group I just wanted to thank you, your Mom, Joanne, & and your Dad, Roger, for driving so far (almost 3 hours) to have lunch out in a restaurant, bringing all 3 of us those special balls to play with, playing ball & frisbee in such a magnificent park, and to Welcome Mickey to Western PA!

Remington and Phoebe's Swim Date!

Well, I had a great weekend. Not only did I not have to work for the first time in ages I also got to spend good quality time with my doodle!

Pillow Hog

At some point last night I vaguely recall my knee pillow (required now that my belly is expanding ever more and I'm forced to sleep on my side) ended up over the side of the bed. I was sure it probably clonked Rosco on the head, since he sleeps next to my side of the bed, but wasn't awake enough to want to check. So I just made do without it. Last night Daffney made a friend in obedience class, his name is cooper and he is a German shepherd. It was quite cute until they started barking and disrupting the class..well ok, it was still cute after that.

Matzkin Doodle Update

August 3, 3009-Charli has been with us 8 days.

-Mickey is at his forever home with me, Samantha & Charli. We got here (Pittsburgh) yesterday afternoon. He seems to be very comfortable. He bonded very well with Marissa and Seamus, anyone that Samantha loves seems to rub off on him - TG!. He slept with them behind closed doors. The first night with Samantha and the 2nd night without her.
