Well everyone, Remington got alone just fine with his neutering. He was a happy camper to come home and be with us after a long day at the vet. He was a little bit sleepy and definitely not his usual self, but he did well and the surgery went smoothly. He is eating and drinking just fine and already having regular bowel movements which is all good signs :) He didn't sleep very well last night and kept getting up and laying down like every hour, but all together we are very pleased with how he…

Ok, I don't even have my first doodle yet, (9-4-2009 I will), and I ALREADY want another one! For my second doodle, I want a "red" or "caramel" doodle. I guess a caramel is just a red with a pink/brown nose. Please correct me if I'm wrong!! And for size, min-to-medium. I'm already starting a "special" savings account!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kai has been home with us now for eight weeks. He has grown so much! When he arrived he was 6 pounds today he is 16! It's been a busy time here. He has gone kayaking, swimming, hiking and walking on the strand.
Now that he is four months old we have added the dog park and doggie day care to his list of things to do.
He is housebroken, knows sit, down, crawl & speak. He is a champ with his poochie…

So today was the big day... Remington Bear's neutering....
Remington woke up around 5 this morning... wanting his mom of course... so I let him jump up on the bed and cuddle with me for the next hour and a half... I wouldn't usually do this, but this morning was different... my little boy was having surgery... his first!!
Around 6:30 Dan came home from work and Remington was taken outside... then back upstairs he ran and laid his head on the edge of the bed... I found this…

Yesterday I went shopping for a class in advanced training for Spud. We also needed dog food. I called a business I had used 15 years ago. After asking just a few questions the bored lady said, " Just go to my website it will answer any of your questions." I explained her web site would not load the particular page and she replied " Yeah, my husband is a programmer and my computer doesn't work real well either." She never answered my simple questions.
We got in the car and took a…

Since he's de-legged and decapitated the last of two rubber pigs (after 2 years so that's still pretty good!) and his beloved little Wal Mart latex squeaker is circling the drain (intact but getting a bit grimy and thin)...I thought it was time for Rosco to have a brand new noisy toy.
So on Sunday I took him on a mommy-doggy trip to PetCo so we could pick out just the right one. I heeled Rosco into the store and down the toy aisle and…

Angel was none-too-happy with me today. Today was my first day back to work since getting Angel exactly 2 months ago.
According to Angel the day started out ok. We got up at 5:00AM, went for a walk, and had breakfast. While I showered, dressed, and primped, Angel chewed on her favorite hoof, and all was well. Until I started heading for the door. With my purse and keys.
Angel looked confused for a moment. After all, I hadn't put on her harness, there was no leash....but…

Long time since I last wrote. Our summer highlight was a trip "Up North" Wisconsin. We rented two cabins on a lake, grown-up children flew in. I was worried that Ella and Harry would run away with all the smells in the woods luring them. Everyone helped keep eyes on them and they never wandered far. Ella was a natural swimmer and loved retrieving sticks thrown in the water. She would gracefully swim back with no splashing. Harry was another story - he thrashed around and decided that swimming…

I keep meaning to write a blog to catch you all up on the chaos and miracles in our lives, but for now I would like to show off our sweet Cimmy before and after her first grooming. The kids and I took a spur of the moment vacation and while she was boarding and training they gave her a doodle trim around the face, paws and um well another area that gets a little messy periodically. Am I wrong or does…

Hi All!
It has been awhile since I checked in on my Doodle friends and family. I hope everyone is doing great! From the pictures it still looks like you are all still having a great time with those doodles.
You were all so supportive when I lost my best friend and doodle, Teddy. But since then we have been blessed with another puppy that has touched our hearts just as much.
I know she isnt a Doodle but I wanted to tell you quickly about Sasha....our new walking,…

Another dissappointment.
I went into one of our pet stores this week. This was a pet store that had taken in OSPCA pets to help them with adoption. I figured that is a store worth supporting. I went in and one of the staff was on the phone talking about the pets they had in the store and what the vet had done and didn't do. He didn't give some shots as they weren't healthy at the time. (just catching some of the conversation) She was also talking about bringing in doberman pups this week…

We've had Lily for three full weeks now and I don't think we could love her more! She is an absolute joy to have around the house. The first week or so was kind of rough but she has really settled in. Lily loves coming with us on car trips, visiting new friends and even enjoys her trips to the vet! She is hilarious to watch play, we joke that she's our little OCD puppy because she always has her toys gathered with her in one corner. When she gets up and moves she will make 5 or 6 trips to bring…

So Twinkie and I went to Petsmart yesterday to get her some new shampoo, and treats, a frisbee, and few other necessities! We were looking around and one of the workers came up and started petting Twinkie and playing w/ her. As you might remember Twinkie and I are working on "Roll Over", the worker asked if she could have a treat, and I told him she will do tricks for them. So of course she sits, shakes, lays down, and then he worked w/ her on roll over and got her to do it w/ no problem!!! Can…

Well, we're leaving in just a few minutes to head out to the Outer Banks. Yoda has his new short 'do in preparation for all the swimming he'll be doing all week! He's never been in the car for more than an hour, but we're thinking he should be fine with lots of breaks to stretch his legs. Once we get there we will meet up with my parents "spirited" yorkie and my brother's elderly yellow lab. Should be an interesting week! I will post some pictures of the dogs and everybody swimming when I get…
