Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
...well, almost. You do need to start a story with a catch phrase, right?
Auggie is fortunate enough to be in touch with his real brother Jack. They went together to the same socialization class when they were just tiny-tiny skinny-butt puppies and they also met a few times for a local doodle romp.
And yes, they looked like twins. They only way to tell them apart…

We have had many posts here on DK about Seat Belt issues. I think I've finally found our answer to this very debated topic. Last week, a very long week, the last straw for me was when Spud’s seat belt broke as I used the brakes. The next moment, Spud was roaming about the van. How safe is…

Bodhi is a boy in a bubble!!! We had so many problems with him as a puppy when it came to finding the right food and the right shampoo to use! He its like he is intolerant to everything! He cant have chicken, beef, some fish, grains and has many issues with most synthetic scents. We spent so much time and money at the vet figuring out what was right for him and finally came to the conclusion that he can only have grain free venison! so we feed him california natural grain free venison! He…

If you pay close attention you will notice, our seasons give us “signs” they are changing. Even though March 20th marked this years “official” Spring Equinox date, many regions needed additional weeks for the temperatures to catch up.
It’s April now and we can finally see new growth. In our little neck of the woods, it’s time to cut the grass……

Gosh I have so many questions about goldendoodles and realize I have so much to learn. This is the first dog ever and so this is a really big deal for me! I have been reading up, reading up, and reading up more. I have bought a ton of puppy supplies to be ready for my baby when he arrives home. It's like Christmas here...lol…

A Wednesday post...? How peculiar. Yes, yesterday I missed my standard Tuesday posting because I had 95 research reports sitting on my chest. They were weighing on my shoulders, hanging over my head, and directly in front of my eyes. Am I now completely finished with grading those papers? No, you always have those few outliers - late papers, waiting to print, and carefully tucked away somewhere. Will I get them all read? Yes, of course, however, it is just…

Lately, I have been reading more and more about some amazing Doodles we have here on DoodleKisses and it has gotten me thinking about Fudge and Vern. I have been asking myself what special skills do my two dogs have and have we been working together as master and dog to the best of our abilities? Unfortunately, if I am honest, I would…

I was running errands this past weekend and walking through the Renaissance Center in downtown Tallahassee, passed by a wall hanging I had never noticed before. Looking up I stopped dead in my tracks because on the wall hung a collage of photos depicting Tallahassee's Top Dog for the year 2011 - a labradoodle named Ari. As a doodle owner and lover, it thrills me to see…

Jeff, Milt, and I are a happy trio who all co-exist in the same bedroom. Jeff and I take the bed, and up until December, Milton was always in his crate. Now, he is crateless, and I think loving it... One of the main reasons for having a crate, though, is to create that den-like atmosphere where a dog feels cozy and secure. Something tells me that Milt might be missing it for that reason.…

The story I’m about to tell you may seem a bit “concocted” but I assure you this is:
Harley is really a very special doodle…
DH was out of town last week, and this past Wednesday he brought the…

I have been leaving bits and pieces of updates through blogs and posts on other people's stuff so since a few of you asked me I figured I would type a quick update.
First the good news.. Jack is doing amazing.. He is finally at a healthy weight after being underweight for so long. He is on just cortisol replacement for now and is doing well except for heat intolerance. He seems to have adapted very well to my lifestyle of living with me or being with my mom and molly. There…

I am still hosting three pups here--Lucky, now Cooper, has come back while his parents celebrate their anniversary in Paris--and Sweetie, who was Penny, needs a guardian home so is here--we have had some solid leads on a new home for her and I am very hopeful. The third is Peaches, also known as Pesca--she is going to meet a family tomorrow and I will be very surprised if she is not what they have been looking for--she loves little boys and they have two! I think she will wag her tail right…

Apparently I left a gate open yesterday when I was mowing the lawn. Trav has been outside several times since then, but maybe didn't notice that one gate was open, and I didn't either.
This afternoon we played ball in the yard for a while, and I'd been back inside for some time when I heard him 'talking.' He was using a little in-the-throat sound that usually means 'I want to go outside,' which was strange since the door was already open.
When I looked out, he was patiently…

For the past two weeks I have been sick. I hate being sick and I especially hated being sick when my children were young. When you are a mother, you don’t get to call in sick when you are sick. Most of the time you still have to tend the children and pray naptime comes around soon so you can…

Wellour little Sasha turned 3 months on the 14th and I can't believe how much she's grown just in the two weeks that we had her. Unbelievable! She is starting to be quite a beautiful puppy. This week we made an appointment to her vet for her shots and were quite pleased with the service we had through the phone. We kept the same vet that our Breeder seen because they already know her quite a…
