Hi all...Murphy here
What a holiday, doods. I am so glad to be home. Very tired. We went to visit my human brother in Austin, a really cool place. He got a new puppy the day before we arrived (what was he thinking??!!) A Weimaramer. What a pain she is.
My brother is an engineer so he had a schedule all made out for her...on a spread sheet. She didn't follow it though...
Mom says they will both figure it out. I'm not sure.
We met fellow Doodlekisses…

I bought a new full length mirror today and Miss Nosey aka Bella, has sniffed, pawed, licked and nosed this for the past hour. She is fixated on the "puppy" that I just added to her pack and is trying so hard to get her to play with her,…

Lyric has started her long process towards becoming a mommy. She won't eat today and her temp has dropped a bit over 1 degree. She is resting comfortably and panting heavily--no signs of big contractions yet. We had her in her whelping box in a room that is warmed by a space heater to 75 degrees, but she hated the heat, so I let her go into a cool corner again for now. She can stay cool until the pups start coming, then it's into the box!
This is certainly a unique way to spend New…

Although this is not Thanksgiving I think it is a good time to be thankful. I am thankful for my doodle everyday, I am thankful that he is a good dog. I am thankful that he is healthy and happy. I am thankful that off leash he never wanders off, always stays in sight and if I am lagging behind he will stop and wait for me. He comes when he is called even when there is another dog involved. He is gentle with children and doesn't jump on people when greeting them. He doesn't bolt when the…

Okay I know my sweet angel really isn't one but I thought she listened a bit better. She scarred the dikens out of me this morning. I rarely let her off lead outside as the fence we are putting up is still invisible..... SO This morning I thought, I;m in a rush [remember that] and well I see know children, no people walking about or neighborhood dogs and cats that frequent my backyard. Come on Zo let's go out. All is…

Banjo and I took a long walk this morning on our heavily sanded road. Fortunately, because we live by the lake our road isn't salted too. On returning home I did my best to clean his paws and legs of the wet sand. UGH!!! What a mess!
I decided that his paws and legs needed a good trimming. So I brought out a nice frozen Kong and the vacuum cleaner.
I would stop and vacuum up the trimmings and sandy mess as I went. Luckily Banjo isn't bothered by the vacuum. Well,…

Hi Doods.... Shelby here! It's been a crazy few weeks at my house since my mom had back surgery. She still has a way to go, but is getting better every day. However, this recovery process has really gotten in the way of my blogging - so I had to take time tonight and blog.... because - I've got a lot to share!
Yesterday... my mom (human mom) told me it was our doodleversary. What is a doodleversary you might be asking... I wondered the same thing. It means it was the day she…

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!! I saw this post on Facebook this morning under the Canal Fulton group and his mom mentions how much he enjoyed all the Christmas Cards :-) Here it is!!!

My daughter, her new husband, and their French Bulldog, Bonzai, came home to PA for the Christmas Holidays. Vern and Bonzai have become best friends. Fudge loves them both, but treats them like they are her annoying little brothers. My daughter says that Fudge is too smart for Vern and Bonzai and they just can't keep up with her smart games. She worded it a little differently. Vern and Bonzai prefer to wrestle and take turns pinning each other. Fudge jumps in from time to time to keep them…

I really wish Mom had more shopping to do because her being at home makes me tired. First I had to get a hair cut, then I had to get a bath. After all that, she thinks that she needs to comb me out! This is exhausting. I'd rather she just leave and let me take a nap.
Whatever, go ahead and brush me if you want, just don't make me stand up, I'm too…

Whew, what a busy and fun holiday! We were worried Darwin would be a little stressed or would feel left out, but he had a blast! We spent a lot of time with my husband's family, who completely spoil Darwin. He definitely enjoys the attention. He also got some presents from my younger siblings that he is enjoying thoroughly. I added a video of him opening and playing with one of his favorite gifts. It's a treat dispensing ball that is similar to what the buster cube does. He loves…

Oh, boy--here we go! Lyric is getting all swollen now and has the look of impending motherhood. Christmas was fine until someone opened a present with some sort of stuffed animal in the box...then she was all over it and it had to be hidden some place. She is very tired today after all the activity and is sleeping most of the day...the week is starting off with a BLIZZARD so hopefully, she has a few more days to go before the puppies arrive. I doubt anything will happen before next weekend…
