Not sure what to do but came home from work and my doodle had diarrhea all in his crate and he went outside about 5 times after that. The vet said to boil chicken and rice for him over the next few days. Does anyone know the cause of this? Do dogs get viruses? Please help
I follow Tonya's small business blog at www.fakeituntilyoumakeit.com, and she has some really easy and fun ideas for sprucing up pages on sites like DoodleKisses and ISeeColor. Here's her top 10 ways to make your page stand out (I love that she included step-by-step instructions!):
1. Bling your theme
• Click on "Change Theme" you will see over 50 choices where you can change colors, font and background… Continue
I am losing my mind, as most of you know I got Riley just over 2 weeks now. I was first & still dealing with parasites that Riley shared with Duffy and they are on the second round of Meds. I am dealing with Riley & his potty training issues & now FLEAS!!!!!!!. When Duffy went for his first haircut the groomer informed me he has fleas he did have Frontline & Riley had Revolution treatments. I have cleaned my house & washed all their bedding in hot water but I am afraid of… Continue
Well, it's time to take the annual christmas picture, the kids & I were thrilled because this year we have 2 new pups to include. Well Duffy's hair grew very long so I wanted him to look nice for the picture I had Hubby take him for his first haircut & I gave him the print out from this site which he gave to the groomer & I gave instructions over the phone that I didn't want it too short. Well My son just came home from school & was so… Continue
I had pet insurance for my golden retriever and want to get it again for my Goldendoodle. Is there anything out there besides Veterinary Pet Insurance (VPI)? That's the only one I know about.
1. He was okay with playing in the empty tub. Yay!
2. I put some peanut butter on the wall of the tub so he could lick it off and associate good things with bath time. Yay!
3. I started running the water really slowly. He was timid, but okay with it. Yay!
4. I turned the… Continue
I keep telling my friends and family that Lucy is brilliant and it's me that's holding her back. They all smile warmly and say "uh huh". I decided to show my parents how smart Lucy is... so yesterday while I was at their house, I started teaching Lucy how to shake. We worked on it for about 15 minutes.. "shake" pick up her paw and hold it... then treat.. repeated about 15 times. My parent weren't all that impressed but by the last 4 "shakes" her paw was no longer "planted". Then about 2… Continue
...and we just got back from his first puppy class! He was very well behaved and didn't potty all over the place like a lot of the older puppies did. I'm rather partial to him and so I'm a bit biased, so I was surprised when other puppy owners singled me out from all of the other puppy owners and told me how cute and well behaved he was. :) One lady told me he looks like that puppy from the Charmin toilet paper commercial, ha. Anyway, we were introduced… Continue
Things are going well! Yesterday Oliver had a few accidents in the house while his dad was "watching" him while I went to the store. I put WATCHING in quotations for a reason...haha. Jonathan admits that he was doing several things at once, but I think he learned his lesson quickly as it was his first time he was alone with the puppy since we brought him home. ...Oh well, today is a new day!
Last night we went to bed at 11pm and Oliver walked into his crate without any coaxing from… Continue
We have many nicknames for the pup. So far we call him: Ollie, Ollie-Ollie-Oxen-Free, Oliver Twist, Mr. Twist, and Fetus face (because he has such a baby face in comparison with the rest of his body lol).
Yesterday (during the day), when he fell asleep while we were playing in the living room (being a puppy is HARD WORK!) we'd transfer him into Chloe's crate to see how he'd react. We're using Chloe's old crate at the moment since we wanted to wait to see how tall he would be, but… Continue
This morning we slept in. When we got up we decided to go out to breakfast. Afterward we were going to take something back to a local store, but when I told my husband Jonathan that he was turning the wrong way he said, "Nope...we actually have something more important to do today." He then took out the GPS and surpriseeeee he put in… Continue
We passed! The first time through, he did great at everything except sitting politely to be petted. He kept trying to jump, so the evaluator couldn't pass him on that, which means we failed. But we went through the rest of the test anyway, and did fine with the other tasks. They said we could just wait a little while and try again after the other dogs had their turns, so that's what we did. And the 2nd time, he sat very calmly and let the evaluator pet him. He gets very excited when people pay… Continue
They are great! Holly thanks Adina for including her pictures. We purchased five calendars. Two for us and the other three for friends who are not lucky enough to have a doodle.
This is way to cool Well when we first got Willson we went to PetSmart to get a few items, we had Willson in are arms, and it just so happens that one of the customers and questioned us about the doodle breed so we gave as much information as we could and where we got Willson.
This young women was going to call and check out the breeder and the remaining puppies, Well last night as I was walking Willson around our neighborhood a family was walking their dog and as we passed I asked… Continue
Just wondering if anyone else had this problem after neutering their dog, Just got back from ER with Willson, seems that he has some blockage in his prepuce, we have to apply an antibacterial wash, so I am wondering if anyone else had to do this too
Friday started out great with the notice that Halas is the cover boy and Mr. January in one of the DoodleKisses 2009 calendars! We soaked in all of the congratulatory feelings sent our way by all of our DK friends. We also told all of our non-DK friends and relatives about it. Everyone is very excited. It's Halas' 2nd calendar, as he won a contest earlier in the year and had his photo professionally taken to appear in another 2009 calendar, sold here in our area. Incidentally, the photo that… Continue
Today was a really fun day, because we hiked up the golf course trail. My sister and I usually take a swim in the pond behind the big house, but there were no ducks in the water. Instead, we decided to check out the fairway on the other side of the pond, and immediately picked up some very interesting scents. Suddenly, a dear jumped out from the woods and ran across the grass, so we took off full speed, chasing it all the way across the golf course, until we came to a dead-end street, where two… Continue
Lucy is a typical 5 month old puppy. Her sole focus is on toys, treats, and play. Because she usually plays with big dogs, she plays at full tilt until she wears herself out.
Last week at our training session, there were 2 new dogs in the class. Lucy had been the only dog in the puppy class, so this was really fun. There was one very small dog with a very big voice and a puppy larger than Lucy but the same age. Unfortunately, this puppy had been attacked by two dogs and was very… Continue
I was hoping that someone could give me an idea about making my own crate bumpers. I have found many on the computer but I really don't want to pay $60 plus for them. I was thinking that I could make some with things that I may have around the house. Has anyone came up with a good crate bumper that isn't too expensive? Thanks for any help.
