Yep, Scottie too, was part of Operation Three Caballeros. He is such a skinny, frightened boy but he is slowly coming out of his shell. Wednesday evening when we got home from the doodle train excursion Scottie wasn’t too sure about his new…

As you may have read, Harvey was one of the "3 Amigos". The amazing DRC doodle train rescued three sweet doodle boys and dispersed them to foster homes. I was not able to choose when Nina and I were standing in the parking lot of our meeting point, but somehow we each ended up with the "right" foster!
Technically, yesterday was Harvey's second day with me, but I've decided not to count the first day. He was soooooo scared that he had no opportunity to let the slightest glimmer…

Only 8 more nights until our little girl, Rua, comes home. She weighs about 4-5 pounds right now (estimated by the breeder). The Dremel came today, as well as Clickers and the Clicker training book I ordered. I might of also stopped by Michael's and picked up $114 worth of scrapbooking materials (not sure what I was thinking...I am an accountant...but the stuff is SOOOO cute). I also just got the book "The Art of Raising a Puppy" by The Monks of New Skete. Any one have any thoughts or…

Long before Rooney was even a gleam in my eye or a deposit on a looooong waiting list - I was invited to visit some friends who live in the south of France. Tomorrow the great adventure begins - and now I don't want to go. ;-) I hate to drag myself away from my computer - oh how I will miss those funny stories, updates (Roo's teeth came in yesterday), photos and videos that the breeder sends. And I will miss all of our new friends on DK and their stories and all of the stuff I was…

Roo here! Reporting in on the Malibu Doodle Romp. Oodles of doodle fun. Lots and lots of people to meet. And all of them love me! Most of them thought it was awesome to have doodle right in their lap or face to face for a kiss. A few humans were confused and thought this was a Canine Good Citizen test and pushed me down, but most just hugged and loved me. It's okay though, humans are easily confused as they don't watch, smell or listen carefully. Tiggerrrrrrrrrr checking…

I came around the corner into the living room this morning to find Banjo busy redecorating. He was either planning to move out or he'd decided he didn't want his bed in our room any longer! Of course he
doesn't actually SLEEP in this bed it's just another thing (toy) to
destroy! The foam bottom is almost non-existent!…

Last night Charlie/Marley wanted to come upstairs to bed with me for the first time. He refused to go up the stairs. I left a treat trail up the stairs but he would not come. He slept downstairs, but he whined for a while wanting to come up but not willing to do it. I guess I will address whatever phobia that is tonight.
Meeting of the minds or just hard heads...…

This is my first blog post and I am thrilled to have a place to share my excitement in getting our new puppy. My husband, family and friends are going to be glad that I have found a place to express myself because I am sure I am driving them all crazy right now. Rua (Irish/Gaelic for red-haired) is a F1B Mini Goldendoodle and was born on 7/27/2010. We will pick her up on Friday, 9/24/2010 in Hull IA (150 miles from Omaha).
We have a 9 year old female DLH cat named PuffDog and…

Saturday we met our first foster doodle. He is a 6 month old labradoodle. Someone adopted him a month ago and he "didn't work out with her maltese". (What was she thinking?) He is a wonderfully engergetic and happy boy. He loves toys and balls and chew things. He is about 50 lbs and very quick and agile. He makes 100 lb Murphy look like the polar bear in that car commercial (I see a diet in Murphy's future)
Murphy is like a grumpy old man but it does seem to bother this guy. He keeps…
