Multiple Doodles (or dogs)

I have a 7.5 year old female Lab (Lucy) and just brought home a brother and sister Doodle tag team ( Daisy and Waffle). Waffle is my foster Dood and will only be with us for a few month until he can go overseas to his new home in England. I am already considering third permanent addition to be Daisy's Mr Right. The three dogs are getting along well. I take some time each day to spend with just Lucy so she knows she's still my main squeeze. She's earned it after 7 wonderful years. I also make sure that she is fed first and the first one to get treats so as to establish the pack order. My hope is that the Doods will learn from Lucy who is in many peoples opinion and exceptional dog.

I was nervous the night before getting my second doodle and now 6 months later, I fantasize a 3rd!!! I sure hope I get a chance to foster......My doodles are such loving dogs.....my little mini pack..

That's so cute! I love seeing them cuddle. A two dood family is a happy family in my opinion!

Hi Everyone! We are a 2 dood family. Maple is an F1b cafe labradoodle, turning one year this week and Lucky is our 6 mo old F1b cream goldendoodle. They are loving "sisters" with Maple gently taking the role as the older and wiser. Lucky came to us at 4 months old and was a difficult place for her breeder since she was extremely shy. Thanks to her, Bobby Yoder that she waited for us because Lucky is really coming out of her shell in our laid-back home. As you can see below, taking her half of the backseat out of the middle too! Silliness.

One of mine chases a ball and the other chases a big zogoflex bone. If I use two balls or two bone either immediately or eventually, they both want the same one. Although that doesn't seem to bother either one of them very much.

We play with a large rope toy (which they love to play tug of war with). They will both chase for the rope and then grab one end each and bring it back - very funny to watch..... when they are really into it they will actually wait for the other dood to catch up before they pick it up otherwise its just a matter of grabbing what you can....lol...

Only Luca really participates in fetch but Calla will often run along. Luca will take the ball from her but she usually lets him. If it leads to what I call "World War III it's still good exercise.

This may seem like a silly question....but how do you play "fetch" with two Doodles? Before Murph, Guinness and I used to play fetch all the time. He got really good about bringing back the ball and dropping it so I could throw it again. With Murphy it just isn't working. Even if I use two balls, they both want the same one. If Guinness tries to bring it back to me, Murph is all over him trying to get it out of his mouth. Then they're jumping all over each other. Of course, they both want the same ball. I hate to give up on this game, but right now when we play it looks like a circus.
