Congratulations on your new doodle Sam! I think in time they will play more together. My dogs are allowed to "rough house" outside, not inside. At times they play a little rougher than I care for so I'll try to distract them, that usually works. Does Ollie get to rough? Can you let them play outside together?

Hi everyone. We have just joined this group after becoming the proud owner of doodle number 2 on the weekend. We have Ollie who is a large medium ld, 20 months old and now Murphy who is a small medium ld, 9 months old. Ollie is much more outgoing and playful than Murphy who is quite reserved. We have been very strict with Ollie, not letting him rough play but to the point where they don't really play with each other. No fighting, just lots of laying around........ Is there a way I can encourage them to play together or am I asking too much after 2 days????????

If you are thinking of it from your own point of view, it may be more expensive and more work, but from the dogs point of view, it is absolutely fantastic. Dogs need their canine companions.

I love having 2 doodles! They have so much fun together and I wouldn't change it for the world, but everyone is right about the extra cost. It is also lots of extra time for attention and training and it goes on and on! But so worth it!

I agree with Debbie - I added Peri to our family after having a chihuahua (spoiled rotten and very attached to his mama) for 5 years. It couldn't be better - even with my finicky little Taquito. They looove each other. So if a chihuahua can love a doodle, two doodles are sure to be just GREAT together :)

Liz, we recently added another doodle to our crew, Charlie was just shy of 1 year old, it has been a wonderful addition. The only advise is to be prepared for double the cost for everything, vet appt's, supplies, kennelling if required etc. We've had teddi home now since December 12th, and it's been nothing but wonderful. Charlie's tail hasn't stopped wagging, and they are insepartable. Two doodles seem to be a natural. We also have a older aililng maltese, and there have been no problems with her and the blend either. Good luck.

Hello! I just joined this group because we are seriously considering getting another Goldendoodle. Our doodle, Delilah, is 15 months old and doing great!! We would love to get her a friend. Any advice? Tips? Problems you all have had?
Thanks!!

Hello! I'm new to the group as well. We have Connor, a 2 yr old standard F1 goldendoodle, Simon, a 7 month old standard F3 ALD and Skylar, a 7 yr old collie. The two doodles get along great - like two peas in a doodle pod! :-) Most days are good with all 3 guys, but Sky does get prickly with Simon at times. I've been using a DAP diffuser for the last couple of months and it does help A LOT!!
Connor is a certified therapy dog. Simon is just finishing up his first set of obedience classes. They are excellent together, but their play drive is strong, so I have to use the word SETTLE a few times a day! haha The doodles are both very friendly, cuddly dogs.

Your doggie house sounds so ideal. Their sleeping habits are very sweet.

I love having 2 doodles and a malt : ) ese. Our doodles Charlie and Teddi have the same parents, one litter apart. Charlie just turned one year old, he was born an ol'soul, is a very tender loving boy who has taken Teddi (12 weeks)under his paws in a very positive and loving way. Abbey our maltese, loves both dood's but is cautious and does not play due to health issues and age. She's the leader at her whole 7 lbs, and both Charlie and Teddi seem to respect her orderly ways. The three sleep together, Abbey in her princess bed, with Charlie and Teddi cuddling their nose overseeing Abbey's bed. What a lucky household this is. Both Teddi and Charlie are F1 Standard doodles.
