Celebrating my Mom's Birthday!!!

Remington's Sunday Guest

So every weekend I always tidy up the house a bit and sweep the floors. However, for the first time ever... I didn't do it this weekend! Why you ask?? Because Remington had company!!! Buddy, our friend Mike's parent's goldendoodle came over on Sunday because Mike's parents were moving his sister into college! I figured, why tidy up nowwhen two dogs in the house together are going to make a much bigger mess than usual. Might as well wait until sweet Buddy leaves.

Halas' 2nd Flyball Tournament

Halas and I finished up our 2nd flyball tournament earlier today. The first one was back in May, so it's been over 3 months between tournaments. He's been doing great in practice - not bobbling the ball, not skipping jumps, passing other dogs really well, running with the regular line up of dogs, etc. So we were all expecting big things from him at this tournament. We conquered the "Rollover"!! Yipee!

Tara and I have been practicing the rollover trick for the past few weeks. We are learning tricks from the "101 Dog Tricks" book and this one seemed pretty basic and easy. We started by learning the roll part which got her flat on her side. She caught on to that fairly quickly but then we got stuck at that point. The little legs just didn't want to go over. 13 weeks and counting.....

It's pretty amazing that it's been 5 weeks since we brought Floyd home. It's for sure gone by fast but at times it feels like it's been years. Overall I have gotten more sleep but I still have not been able to get my full 8 hours that I'm used to so I have begun getting used to feeling just slightly tired all of the time. The Irish "Beach Boys" Vacation Tail

Well we're back from our two weeks at the beach, and the Doods have lots to tell. Overall they were great....although we did have a few "fresh episodes" the first week and we had to join the Naughty Doodles group. By the second week they had adjusted and were able to go out and play in the water off leash in the morning and later in the day when most people had left for the day. Recently there was a post about dogs being rescued and in return becoming a friend, companion and an unconditional giver of love. Photoraphing Puppies

Puppies are inherrently figity and will definitly move or turn at the worst possible moment when you are shooting their picture.

There are two ways we use to secure our puppies:

First is using a narrow black show lead. Get behind your couch or chair and hold the pup in place with the show lead which is easily removed from the image using an editing progarm if you desire. Covering the couch with a blanket or other type of cloth helps keep distractions…

Help I Need BAIL MONEY!! ~ Hunter

I thinks I have done BIG WRONGS this time!! My daddy got a new pair of Maui Jim sunglasses. I am FED UP with crappy dog owners!!!!!!!!!

Darwin was attacked today. Full on attacked. And the horrible dog drew blood.

DH and I got invited to go hang out with some friends at a really nice grassy park. We wanted to play Frisbee. Well, this park is also an off-leash dog area so we thought we would bring Darwin. The nice thing about the park is that although it's an off-leash area, there are rarely dogs there, and when there are dogs there, it's just one or two well behaved dogs playing fetch. What's Going On?

Yesterday I came home from work and found one of my shoes that I wore out to the bar on the weekend laying in the living room. Upon inspection, I noticed the heel was chewed a bit. I kind of shrugged it off. I was kind of upset that Abel would do that but it was just a tiny bit and though maybe he just smelled somthing on it or something.

Proud Doodle Mama

So Mousse has been dubbed the puddle monster - we are having such a hard time house training him. HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY BUDDY BOY!
