Just joined the group! We have an 8 month old F1 goldendoodle female named George, and just two days ago we welcomed into a guardian home agreement an 11 week old multigenerational bernedoodle female named Juno. I will say that this weekend has been CRAZY. They're either play fighting and growling and barking or passed out asleep. I feel like I'm running a dog daycare! George is a very passive dog, and it is already obvious that Juno is NOT. We've been having to play white noise every night in order for Juno to stop screaming in her crate. We're in for an adventure I can already tell.

Hello. I've been 'stalking' this group for a couple weeks while we debated about adding another dog to our family and just joined now that we 2 dogs. I have to credit the discussions here because they helped sway my decision in adding another pup to the mix :) and I do not regret it at all! We now have Holmes, a 1 y.o. goldendoodle and just added Lucy, she's around 2 and possibly a labradoodle-schnauzer mix. She's been with us for about a week and it could not have gone any better. So glad to have found this group.

Thanks for writing a little message when you join a new group.  It makes it a whole lot easier for us "older" members here at DK.

Welcome Regina, Marcy and Lynn.  Sounds like you all have your hands full.  Yes, it is difficult walking three (or more) dogs at the same time.  I had problems with the leashes getting tangled so my husband made a special leash for me with shorter leashes for more than one dog.  The whole attachment is on the end of a retractable leash so once I have that down, we can walk comfortably without getting tangled.

Welcome to the group.

Hello everyone, I just joined this group. I have 4 dogs - A 6 yr old westie (Meka), a five yr old yorkie (Pippin),  and a GSD puppy (Axel) and just recently welcomed an 8 wk old GD (Cinsaut).  We live on a big farm in the mountains of NC and we love our furbabies tremendously.  To date we are encountering very little intra-dog transition problems, with the exception of Cinsaut being a little "standoffish" meaning that she just wants to do her own thing, forgoing her training exercises, leash training-loves to stand like a bull or pull her own way. She is extremely intelligent and has already been to her start-right beginners puppy class with her private trainer.  I think she is just outsmarting me! :)

Hi All! I just joined this group. I have a 2 year ALD, Apollo, and we just sent in a deposit for our second ALD from the same breeder. Litter should be born around April, coming home around June. We also have two human kids, ages 4 and 7. Things are crazy around here, but we wouldn't have it any other way. I'll be checking in for advice.

Hi Regina, it took our Springer and Clancy quite a while to settle in - months. They argued over toys and bones and us.  Our other dogs and Clancy settled pack position right away but  bottom-of-the-pack postion was in contention for quite a long time!
