377 members of this group, but someone is new. Who might that be? A good idea to post when you join a new group and especially if you have any needs that we might help you with. Welcome new members.
Pam's Callie and Jake - welcome to the multiple doodles group. I looked through the entire membership list and couldn't find you. Please post when you join a new group so we can welcome you. Happy to have new members.
If anyone is interested in checking them out, I've posted new pictures of Oscar on my page, as well as videos of his 1st Puppy Romp.
Congrats Micky! you have to add your rescue pups name to your profile now! :)
Micky, What you have to remember is that adding another dog WILL change the dynamic of your household. You can't favor Derek over the other one and you have to realize that the new guy will need settling in time and extra love and attention. Of course you want them to get along and most likely they will. There will be some settling in squabbles as to who is 'boss' which is normal. If Derek is not an assertive dog himself, it won't matter if the other dog is the alpha. What you want is for there to be harmony between them but realize that it might take a bit of time. I would not leave them alone together until you are sure that they get along.
Hi Micky, you might want to start a discussion and post your question there. It is difficult to keep track of responses in the comments section of the group.
Our doodle Derek is 9 months old and is the sweetest tempered guy we could ask for. We just love him so much. We have had him since he was a puppy, he is from a breeder. Our friend has let us know about a rescue doodle, who is another male about 1 year older than our pup. We really want to take in this other guy, because we are in love with doodles and also we think he'd be great company for our Derek. Our only concern is that Derek does not have a mean bone in his body...and is consistently bullied at the dog parks. He just wants to play, all the time. He's pretty mellow. We are planning to meet the rescue this weekend, and will bring Derek along to see how the two get along. Does anyone have experience with introducing a rescue doodle to the household? If they play well together at their initial meeting, is that a good sign that they will get along? Thanks for any advice! I am just worried about my guy Derek, and want to be sure we make the right decision for him and our family.
