My Mum has been visiting for 2 weeks and we have been out hiking a lot. Cooper of course has been with us, sometimes on leash, sometimes off leash. We borrowed a friends Easy Walk harness (Coop is somewhat of a puller when excited) and she walked beautifully
we have seen beaches
fantastic views…

I have been MIA lately....sick as a dog (is that a good term to use, really??)!
Anyway, I think last night was the worst. My cold was terrible and I was just crying in bed. Could not get comfortable. DH said he was going to the couch to sleep and that made me more upset :(
Just as I was at my wit's end and thought I would be up all night, Peri jumped onto the bed and got RIGHT next to my head and licked me. I started petting her and fell asleep within…

I'm so glad Traveler is finally getting some coat back after he was shaved a couple of months ago! Maybe his face was trimmed into a 'poodle cut,' but he just looked naked and miserable to me.

We lost our big yellow tabby cat, Felix, a few years ago to cancer. He was Holly's best buddy and they would play for hours. We really had no intention of replacing Felix but, we visited a cat show in San Diego this weekend, just to look at the various breeds of cats for fun and education.
We saw a kitten that we almost adopted. He was half Maine Coon and half Norwegian Forest Cat and was a beauty with a white face, dark tabby back and a wonderful personality. He was also…

This is my first blog here & for some reason the first thing I find to write about is the puppy crusades.
The Puppy Crusades topic got brought up by a conversation I had with a friend & how she doesn't approve of Doodles based mostly on shelter & people behavior of over breeding the market.
She made it sound so bad because so many are breeding anything dog with a poodle & how this makes Doodles a mistaken breed bc there IS NO breed, no markers…

We adopted our LD, Chili, last March through IDOG. He's been such a joy, that we decided to double the love. We were working through DRC to adopt a second rescue. We had already been approved and were "finalists" in the running for a different doodle. Jeannine from DRC…

These Doods have a way of keeping me laughing. After Murph's Vet visit on Wednesday, I've been kind of "bummed". I just have been feeling really bad for him, but the antics of these guys just always cheers me up. Murphy is a true dichotomy....one minute he's "ferocious" and the next minute he's a big baby. This week we got our Bocker stuffed Doodle in the mail, and the dogs were really interested in it (thinking it must be a new toy for THEM). Just to be sure it didn't end up…

It snowed in Nashville yet again and the roads are actually solid ice today. Luckily DH and I live close to downtown/midtown where we work so we both went in.
Peri's daycare day is always Friday. Plus I made an appointment for her at the spa today (grooming time!) - her hair is 3ish inches long right now and I think it is time for the short 'do. She never gets cold anyway.
I digress.....so DH just called me and said "I think she might be the only one there…

It seems like I have been posting a lot of blogs about Vern and not so many about Fudge (and I apologize to Fudge), but here goes another one. Last night, my DH commented that Vern is like a big, goofy boy and I think he hit the nail on the head. I came home from grocery shopping and Vern kept trying to inspect the groceries, so I asked my DH to entertain (yes, these are the words I used) him while I put the groceries away. Outside they all went and pretty soon, I could hear Vern barking…
