Mine are F1 5 yrs, F6 3 yrs, and F1B 2 yrs and I say GENTLE and they settle down. The weight difference is a factor as they range from 55 lbs to 17 lbs so the little one gets dropped rolled even in the snow LOL!!

Hi, I am new to this group also, our boys are 14 weeks old & brothers from the same litter. They get along very well, they sleep together, eat together, etc. One of my concerns is they "play fight" alot, I know it is normal and they are learning "what hurts", but should there be a point that we intervene? Sometimes we do, by distracting them with toys, but I worry if they continue this into adulthood they will hurt each other.
Also, if anyone has any training tips, they are welcome!! They only know their names, come, sit & down, but they ignore everything they have learned when they are outside playing!
ALL ADVICE WELCOME!!

Hi. I just joined this group and am having fun reading about people's experiences. I have a 14 mo. old mini labradoodle whom I adopted when she was 6 mos. old. I brought her home to her 10 year old sister, who had been "queen of the hut" for many years. My kids are now grown, so my dogs have become my only children at home most of the time (accept when my youngest comes home from college). She, by the way, is convinced we got the puppy to replace her.
Since my older dog is the sweetest, gentlest thing, there wasn't much trouble in adding the pup. At first older sis ignored her, but the doodle has such an affectionate personality and had spent the 1st 6 mos. of her life with other dogs that they quickly became friends. Of course the doodle, at 14 mos. has a lot more energy and her sister (a collie/terrier mix, age 10) has some medical issues and no longer wants to play quite as much. They still snuggle together and I think they miss each other when separated. We're trying to keep sis as healthy as we can so that she can remain with us as long as possible. We will all miss her terribly if she dies; especially her doodle sister.

Hi - I am a newbie to this group. I have a female 4yr old goldendoodle and 2 of her puppies - both males. The puppies are 13wks - not certain if we are going to keep both as I am trying to rehome one that was returned. (my mom and dad may take him but that's another story). When they are outside in the yard, Mom has a tendancy to pick on one pup, who speaks up and snaps back to defend himself - the other pup, just watches from the sidelines. I end up putting Mom in the house and letting the boys just run around and play on their own. I don't know whether to just leave them to sort it out or remove mom from the yard. Any suggestions??

I need to take a more recent photo, but it is hard to get a good one of them looking up and not playing. That is a good thing though!!

Hunny B (right) is the youngest but seems to be in charge. Elmo (left) pretends to be stupid but we reckon he has hidden talents...

Thing 2 and Abby still have the same eyes you can tell they are related.. Abby has gotten so mature in the last few months. Molly is going to take her time..

You do have a busy household.....

Two doodles + one dachshund + two teenagers = a busy, busy household. Here are my two doodles. I nicknamed them Thing 1 & Thing 2!
